I am so lost, I am in the early stages of seperation after 15yrs of marriage, we have a son, him and I are looking after each other but I still feel so lost, sad, empty and some days really numb. She said she just wants to be her, I have never felt so lost, and heartbroken, I love her more than anything else in the world, how do pull myself out of this hole for myself and be strong for my son.

Hello and a warm welcome to the forums,
Extremely sorry to hear what you are going through. 15yrs is a long time to have invested in someone then to get separated can be highly stressful. It is normal and natural to have a range of strong emotions (some of them you have mentioned). Every person and every situation is different, so please try to be gentle with yourself.
Glad to hear you and your son are connecting and there for each other. Not sure how old he is but your son seems to be very wise and caring. It is an extremely difficult time for him too. Make sure to let your son know that the separation was not his fault and that you will always be his parent and love him. Let him be free to love both his parents and not have to choose.
There are couple of links below that both of you can use if you would like:
Kids Helpline | Phone Counselling Service | 1800 55 1800
Relationships Australia | Achieving positive and respectful relationships
Please give yourself ample time to come to terms with the separation and try not to have feelings of guilt. Don't bottle things up, talk to family and friends who can understand and support you. Reach out to your GP or mental health professional for guidance.
Looking after yourself is priority, so that you can be strong for your son. Children are normally very resilient.
Hoping you feel better given the situation. Always here to listen if you want to talk more...
Take care
