To me , then I start to become delusional and think I can hear voices or see things
In my home, can't sleep, can't sit still. Feeling really unsafe,
Shaking from nerves, crying because im not sure if someone would hurt me
I am a victim to domestic violance and suffered a assault in January 2020, the male
Is in jail so I have to be careful what happens to me.
Am I going crazy ,how fan I calm down.
I can't sleep because of night mares it's the same thing every night

Hi BrokenAsh13,
It is great to see you reaching out here on the forum for some support. It sounds like you are going through a really tough time after experiencing such a horrible experience in January. I am so sorry this has happened to you. A common reaction after an assault is to become more hypervigilent and fearful. I wonder if you have sought some support since the assault happened? It sounds as though getting you connected to care will be important for you to heal and feel safe again. I wonder if you have a friend or family member you might ring and talk with tonight?
If not, you could try to talk with a support service over the phone. 1800 RESPECT offers free counselling for people who have experienced an assault and this may help navigate getting some specific support. You could give this a try and call 1800 737 732 (1 800 RESECT). I have attached the weblink below. There is also a live chat feature with this support service which you might like better. This is a place where people can specifically talk about their experiences after an assault and the trauma they may have as a result. https://www.1800respect.org.au/help-and-support/mental-health/
You are not alone. We are here and we are listening. Please post again if you think writing things down might help. Symptoms of trauma is a common reaction for many people after an assault. You do not have to endure it alone.
Sending you strength,
Nurse Jenn
