I'd like to give you a warm welcome here to the Forum. It was a good choice as many here have had problems, including severe ones, wiht their parents. I myself broke away from my parents in my early 20's as they were selfish, could not see me as a person in my own right, and tried to dictate my life.
I've not found it is something you get over completely as it shows a lack of love, something I always believed had been there, however as other things happen in your life they are less important.
Now I'm guessing by saying all of this as I do not know what your circumstances are, do you think you might like to say a bit more about the troubles you have had and what you are facing now? That way we won't have to guess but can talk about what really affects you.
BTW if you are under 25 and have not already done so I'd suggest having a talk with the Kids Help Line, who are very expereinced, understanding and can offer lots of things including chatting wiht others in you situation. You an call them or use web-chat to get started.
