Getting to Know the Site

Hello All,

This is my first 'post'. Thankfully it is not the 'Last Post' 😉

As a worker within Mental Health, I am not immune to MH issues. I am wanting to meet others and to refer clients to this site, as I feel it would be most beneficial to one and all.

Hi KC, welcome

We are proud we are available 24/7/365 which kind of fills in a certain need of support in the community when professional services take time.

Community Champions are the shopfront of the forum. We all have various mental illnesses and life experiences.

The library of threads here is vast. The search engine at the top is very efficient.

I hope you enjoy your time here as do those you guide to this site.

Hi Koori Col,

Welcome to Beyond Blue.

I think it's great to have many resources for people to utilize, especially ones like this where you don't need to make an appointment or spend a heap of money. Psych's can be quite unaffordable for so many.

I myself came here originally for my own issues, but really enjoy the online interaction. Sometimes dealing with people face-to-face is just too much on a bad day. And Facebook is ......... well, it's okay on a good day, but not nearly moderated enough for the bad days.

And no, none of us, I believe, are immune from MH issues, no matter what we may or may not do for work. MH issues do not discriminate at all.

Anyway, welcome. Hope you like it here. I know I do.

Best Regards.
