Difficulty moving forward

When something shit happens (whether it be a friendship break up/someone talking extremely disrespectful toward me/workplace bullying/actual break up etc.) I can’t seem to forget about it and move on quickly. I nearly have to make sense of an incident before I can move on. Any tips/advice that has helped you move forward in life? Feeling quite stagnant/always seems to bring up past trauma when a current traumatic event hits. I go to therapy to get to the roots of my trauma (inner child work has been insanely beneficial for me) but I am looking for a way to almost forget my traumas so I can move on. I have heard of edmr therapy yet it might be expensive. So am looking for a way to help me acknowledge my experiences perhaps perform some closure ceremony so I can finally move on from things. (Some of these issues happened more than 20 years ago) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I dont know if its possible for you to forget your past traumas, but I think those things that happened to you can be a part of who you are, because they helped you grow to become a kind, empathic, and strong person. To carry all your traumas for so long takes a lot of mental strength, and your experiences all you to yourself be a guide for other people who are going through something similar as you.

Considering that these events happened 20 years ago, I think the best way to move forward is to leverage your own lived experience and channel it towards helping other people, who you think can benefit from your wisdom and empathy.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope you find closure
