I'm sorry you were treated so cruelly by your teachers. I just want to let you know that it's entirely an issue with them and nothing to do with you. I had a teacher call me a retard in front of a science class because I asked if her about the spelling of a word. This had a really negative impact on my self-esteem and encouraged the other students to bully me. Looking back on it now I can see it wasn't about me being stupid or anything like that, they were just being cruel and that's what has happened to you too.
It sounds like it's had a negative impact on your self-esteem too. Improving that will make you a happier person and make having a relationship easier too. Is restarting college something you'd like to do?
Again, I'm really sorry you were treated this way, it shouldn't have happened.

Secondly I can sort of understand what happened to you at school - Putting aside the fact I did remedial reading while in highschool, similar comments were made to me.
I am more than double your age and it can still have an effect. But I did nothing about it for so long.
What do you do these days? Working? Study? Hobbies?
Listening to you,
Tim

hey tom 122727 I am really sorry that you had to go through that awful experience and going through the repercussions of it now I have had very similar experiences to you were my teacher called me dumb, stupid and other names constantly and it hurt my self esteem. I'm not those things and so are you are an amazing person who is loved by your family and friends people that see how expectational you really are. its really inspiring that after your negative experience you still managed to go to university and reach your goals. I never thought I was going to get a girlfriend but I have the most amazing girl on my arm now showing that anything is possible. stay strong and good times will eventually come.
hope all is well in the future
regards josh
