Feels good! Just bruising on the elbow and no breaks like suspected, phew.
Yep I’m pretty happy about the sale.
A couple of friends suggested putting it/future boards on consignment in a local store but I much prefer meeting the buyer and telling them about the board, and getting to know them as a customer.
I’m reallg happy that someone has put their trust in me to spend their hard earned money on something I made!!

Not that I should ever have to justify my actions and choices in life I just wanted to say something.
Tonight, we had dinner at my parents place and as much as I love my step dad and he is a very valuable person in my life, I often have felt like he has expectations of me I don’t think I can fulfil or I’m just not quite making the decisions he wants me to make so I can be “successful” and we have had a few ugly runs in about it in the past, but it is coming from genuine place. But tonight I was really happy because he seems really proud of what I’m doing and he doesn’t seem concerned that “I’m wasting my time in a job that isn’t going to serve me a decent career” which is awesome. He was asking me heaps about uni and work.

Hi J
You're right. You don't need to justify your actions and choices. You're and adult and responsible for yourself. however, isn't it great when we have that support and and are acknowledged for our achievements! As parents we just want the best for our kids and always feel 'we know better '. I'm so happy you've received the praise you deserve...and you definitely deserve it. You have come so far, career, family, surfboards. You're doing amazing things, I'm so happy and proud of you.

I’m waiting at the airport for one last ditch effort, back over to New Zealand to see a mate of mine

Well well well just like I don’t ask H for her help with my surfboards I usually stay clear of her art things, well today I thought I would be helpful and we came to the conclusion that
1) From now on I’m only allowed to help with anything that isn’t art and craft related
2) how to NOT make mini pom poms and waste expensive yarn
3) it’s much quicker without my help

We’ve been given a date that our chunky monkey will be asked (well forcibly removed) from their place of residence and give up their luxurious lifestyle. Sorry buddy it’s all over, you’ve got to deal with us two bozos for the rest of your life now, enjoy the next few weeks of peace and quiet we sure will be.
