Lost my husband to what may be a workplace death

Autopsy doesn't show heart attack etc. Workplace is not saying anything. At the moment we (myself and two adult children) are awaiting further results from the autopsy that was performed. Could understand if he had died a natural death but the unknown is killing me. It's been two weeks tomorrow and at the time we couldn't even see him for 6 days. Don't know what to do. It is just an emotional rollercoaster. Legal, official, workplace, Worksafe (investigating). Just sucks big time at the moment.

Hi Annnep

I offer you my deepest condolences on the death of your husband. I know it must be a shock for you and you must be sad, upset and numb over what has happened.

The pain of the loss can never be taken away you need to feel and express your pain in order to start processing the loss.

You must be emotionally exhausted over the loss and though grief can never be overcome you have to accept the reality of the grief by attending a memorial service in honour of your husband where family and friends gather. You will need to work through the grief and you may experience sadness, denial, confusion, fear and loneliness but these are part of the grieving process. You need to establish an ongoing connection with your husband by sharing his memories with others and biographies and you will need to develop a connection with him though he is not present in your heart and mind by developing new skills and activities to keep occupied.

At this moment I can only say to you be strong and courageous.
