Loss of one of the only family members I have left... Sheer guilt

I feel like there should've been something that could've been done. The way it happened was so out of the blue, I miss him so much. But I can't get past it. All I do is feel like it's my fault... He was the best pop and overall one of the best people I knew. How do I cope with this? I feel alone, like my circle is getting so small, and it'd almost be gone soon. I love my pop but now I only really have my mum left family wise...

Take your time to grieve. Just don't allow yourself to drown as it maybe harder to cope up once you're submerged for a long time. Don't feel guilty as we all have our time, so make sure you make yours worthwhile. Try new things. Meet new people. Go somewhere new.

Hey SapphireDreams, welcome.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't know the situation (you don't need to explain, I understand it's triggering so please don't feel you have to), but I want to reassure you that you've done nothing wrong, people pass away unfortunately. It sounds like you were close to him, which of course makes it harder to grieve. There's no time limit on grieving. I'm sure they'd want you to be happy and think of the good times you shared with him.

Nothing is your fault. By the way your profile picture is gorgeous.

Thank you for your incredibly kind reply. It means a great deal to me. You seem very understanding 🙂 thank you so much. To be honest I was terrified to check responses but yours made me glad I did. My birds would appreciate that you think they're gorgeous ❤️

Hi SapphireDreams,

Thank you for sharing something so personal with us.

You don't have anything to feel bad for, these are just natural emotions of grief when someone passes away. I know your grandfather loved you, and will be looking over you. Stay strong for him, as your happiness is his everything now.

Let us know of any updates with how your feeling.

Regards,

CC

Hi SapphireDreams.

You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words back, that means a lot. I'm glad it meant a lot to you too and I could somehow help, that means a lot to me aswell. I can understand being anxious and terrified to check the responses but it's all good, this is a safe, friendly, caring, non judgemental, moderated place, so you're all good. And yes they are gorgeous
