Hi all,
This discussion is a space for all members to share suggestions and ideas to improve the Forums. This can be anything. Navigation, notifications, topics and themes, moderation, community rules, or something else!
We'd love to hear about what you think we can do better. We are really grateful to everyone who has contributed their ideas already, and we're always keen to hear more.

Happy New Year to you and the team!
I know there is work going on behind the scenes to ensure everyone can receive notifications when someone posts on a thread they are following or participating in.
Over the past few days I’ve been receiving notifications, however what is displayed is not entirely helpful.
The notification gives me the name of the poster, what can best be described as a clock symbol (circle with two lines inside coming from the centre of the circle) and the date (day, month, year).
It does not tell me what thread the notification relates to. Nothing happens if I tap on it (eg it doesn’t have the ability to take me to a particular thread). I only know it’s a notification of a new post because I am currently manually checking my Profile page.

Hi team!
Sorry if this has already been asked, but is there an app version for mobile? I looked in the apple store but I didn’t see anything other than the beyondnow app. It’s just that here in the mobile web version it says 2500 word count but it doesn’t show how many characters left? So I keep having to try hit reply only to be denied multiple times until I get it right? Anybody else having this issue on mobile?

Thanks for asking this, great question. There's not an app for the Forums currently, but we are working on improving the phone and tablet experience. A big reason for the upgrades we made last year was to improve the mobile experience with a browser, but we are working to further improve.
We are also working on the word count issue you've mentioned. As far as we can tell, this affects desktop and mobile viewers, but we can hear it's even harder on a mobile as there's little screen space.

Sorry we missed this! That's right, we've been working hard on a series of fixes for the issues you've mentioned, and hope to see them deployed this year. The notifications issue is certainly one we're keen to see improvements on - how frustrating to have to check manually.
Hmm, we're sorry to hear that clicking on the notifications doesn't seem to do anything. We're sharing this with the team working on a fix to make sure they have as full a picture as possible.

Hello Sophie, I tried to change my picture profile well before Xmas but there was a problem, it's now March and wonder if it can be done now, especially for new members who want to post a picture on their profile.

Hi Geoff, hope you are well! If I go to my profile, it will have my name and my badges. Underneath my name it says 'Edit Profile image'. Is that something you can see too?

Hello Moderators, I joined yesterday and cant find a way to read replies to posts. I cant find any live links or any other way to see replies. The forum I have been looking at is Welcome and orientation, although others are the same for me.

Hello romantic_thi3f, yes I've submitted a new photo which has been accepted but it hasn't appeared and on questioning modsupport they say there is a problem in changing the picture, but that was well before Xmas.

Same has happened to me…accepted my new profile picture but hasn’t changed…that was beginning of the New Year….
