Hi Neve,

Thank you so much for your post. It can be really hard to speak up, and we’re really glad you did. We hope this space feels safe and supportive for you to share what’s going on. Big changes like moving schools can definitely affect how we feel. Sometimes things that didn’t bother us before can suddenly feel really heavy or overwhelming. You’re not alone in this, and there are people and places that can help.

Is there someone in your life you feel okay talking to about how you’re feeling? That could be a parent or carer, someone from your school’s wellbeing team, or a teacher you trust. You deserve support while you figure out what’s next. Here are some extra supports you might find helpful:

  • ReachOut has great info about understanding depression, treatment options available, and tips on talking to parents about your mental health. They also have a peer chat if you want to talk to someone who’s been through similar things.
  • Headspace: You can chat online or call 1800 650 890 (3pm–10pm every day).
  • Kids Helpline: Available 24/7 for ages 5–25. You can call 1800 55 1800 or use their webchat to talk to a counsellor.

Is there anything that helps you when your feelings get really strong? Even small things, like listening to music, writing in a journal, or chatting with a friend, can make a big difference.

Thanks again for being brave and sharing with us. We’re really glad you’re here, and we’re here to support you and remind you that you matter, and it's okay to feel this way.

Take care good care of yourself Neve 💙

Kind regards
Sophie M
