Worthless

Hello

I am wanting to know if anyone else feels just worthless. And what they did about that feeling that creeps inside of you.

Thanks

Hi Shelley, I like to cook a few things. I wish I could cook nice indian food, but I have no idea what I'm doing there.
My boyfriend likes my roasts and I make a pretty good creamy pasta sauce from scratch that I do with ravioli.
When I have time in winter I like to make stews and other things that are slow cooked. We're going to have a try at doing pulled beef from scratch at some point.
I wish I could cook more things, we did a cooking class a while back but it wasn't what we were expecting.

We have a few of those water bubblers here in dog walking areas, such a nice idea.
I actually went to a dog cafe over the weekend. My little man made a new friend and they played, then he ate a doggie cupcake.

Sherie, that rain sounds wonderful. I love the sound of rain on the roof, I find it relaxing. Do you have an ipad or something that you can play a little game on for those times when you wake up? I find that if I can do something engaging for a little while I manage to calm myself and can get back to sleep sometimes.
I hope you have a good day at work today.

Scotchfinger, please don't feel any guilt or think that your concerns are petty. Sometimes I think my own concerns are petty compared to others, but you have to remember that that is not the point. In your mind, these are real issues with real repercussions in your life and its ok for you to feel the way you do about them.
We are here to support each other and help each other gain strength, that includes us being here for you.
Personally I like your posts, like Sherie said you have a great sense of humour and its important for us to not be all doom and gloom in here all the time.

Kazzl, I hope as the day goes on things ease at your work. Was my first day back yesterday, although half the office is still on holiday so I think it will be a slow run-up to being back at full pace around here.

Hi Sherie,

hope this finds things on the improve. My little boy is a mini Foxie going on 2 and full of beans. Loves a long walk but not today. Did a spot of gardening and struggling to do much more. Forgot what day it was so had my morning meds after lunch. Tomorow is another day. Hugs and greetings from Southern Victoria

Hi everyone

Just want to say I'm think of you all. Tried to get on for a chat last night but still had dodgy internet. have to get ready for work now but just wanted to send hugs first.

I'm not liking this back to work thing much. Everything's fine, but I'm very tired. And my brain is full already, after such a lovely time of empty-headed peace over the holidays. Ah well, it's a living.

Have a good day all

Kaz

Hey Igbran

Just wanted to say hello to you, and send out a hug to you in Southern Victoria. I'm sorry you are struggling. Not sure what else to say, but I do care. Your dog looks pretty cute...

With love Shelley xx

Hey Sherie

Rain does sound nice, not sure exactly why though.

I'm sorry you woke up in a panic, are you OK now? I have been praying for you. You worked yesterday didn't you? We're you anxious at all, or has that left you? Sorry about all the questions.......

You asked me how I was, to be truthful I never know how to answer a question like that. Indeed others have asked me that, and I find my brain at a block. So I guess I will tell you that no I wasn't sitting in my chair last night. And I get bad headaches from time to time, so that is what drove me to my comfy bed.

You know I don't think I remember if you struggle with the feeling of being worthless. You may have mentioned it before, but I don't think I would be able to go back pages in search of a response. So is it OK, that I ask you again?

Well best say bye for the moment, as I physically feel yuk, as I was unable to have a proper shower last night due to my poor head.

Love to you Sherie

Hi Shelley,

I dont really know why rain sounds good either.  Perhaps for me it is partly because I grew up on the land, and with droughts etc a common thing, it was always such a relief to get rain.  But even now I still find rain a comforting sound.  And I've always loved getting out in the paddocks after rain, and just wading around and listening to the sounds of water as it rushes along on its merry way.

Yes, thanks Shelley, I had a better night last night.  Maybe your thoughts and prayers have helped.  I am sorry that you are feeling so physically 'yuk', and I hope you start to feel much better very soon.  Did you see that Thread that was opened in your honour?  Last time I looked, you hadnt posted to it, so I wondered if you'd even seen it.  It is in the depression area, and its called "Shelley Anne".  If you havent already, then you should read it.  I hope it helps to make you feel better about yourself and your affect on others.

In answer to your question of whether I often feel worthless, yes I do.  I often feel as though I have no purpose in life and that I dont really know why I am here, and that nobody really needs me.  I do feel a little less worthless now that I have a job again though.  It is quite a big thing for me, as it means that I can at least feel a bit useful.  So it is very important for me to have a job.  And I do enjoy working!  Had quite a long day yesterday.  Well, not long for full time workers, but it was a 5 hour day for me, which is quite long.  I need to be careful not to aggravate my injury by overdoing things.  So a quiet day for me today.  I actually just got a phone call from the Nursing Home to let me know that my friend Shirley is going out today with a family member who is travelling through.  So I dont have to go in to visit her today.  I will probably visit her on Friday now instead.  It is good that she has someone else visiting her today.

Hugs to you Shelley, and I wish I could take away that 'yuk' feeling.

Hi Kaz, Shelley, and others,

Just a quick hi to you all.  I'm not ignoring any of you, its just that my post from this morning has been held up.  I expect it will eventually be released and come through, but further up the page when it finally does.  I have been following all your posts though, and am thinking of you all.  And briefly, yes thanks I'm doing okay.

Hi Chicken Wings,

Thanks for your post yesterday.  I didnt respond sooner because I couldnt access the BB website yesterday afternoon or night.  I even tried again when I was up at 3am this morning, and I still couldnt get in.  So I only got your post this morning when I was finally able to access the Forums at about 7.30am this morning.  I was getting a little frantic!  I hadnt realised how addicted I was becoming to having a means of unloading and gaining support from all you people.

The rain has essentially finished here by the looks of it.  Only got a few mms throughout today as it drizzled a bit off and on.  But nothing substantial.  Quite cool though and the wind has picked up this evening.   Actually we have been lucky because only an hours drive south of us they have had major flooding.

No, unfortunately I dont have any of those fancy electronic devices.  I have a PC in the study and a very basic mobile phone with capacity to receive and make calls, and send/receive texts.  Or maybe its me that only has the capacity for that!  Not all that good at new technologies.  A bit like Kazzl, I find it all a bit baffling.  But I suspect she's way ahead of me.

Is it still a slowish reintroduction to work for you, or are you now back into full swing?

Cant wait for our upcoming UK adventure!

Good Morning CW

I am guessing you are probably going to work today. As for me...well I am not keen to leave this bedroom, as our house is very messy and disorganized. And this makes my insides feel this way, and I don't cope with that well. And this gets me down.

I like to cook as well, I have thought of going to a cooking class, but I have not, and I mainly watch cooking videos on ytube. I have made a few Indian dishes, I love the aromas coming from the different spices in the pot. I do want to have a go at preparing indian mango chicken, as someone in my household loves it, and often buys it from the Rajas corner, which is a Indian restaurant/ take away near their work.

Well I do hope you have a good day at work. And a hug for you today.

With love

Shelley xx
