Worthless

Hello

I am wanting to know if anyone else feels just worthless. And what they did about that feeling that creeps inside of you.

Thanks

As are you CW.  You too are a gift, and never forget that.  What you have said above is really nice, and I appreciate the good things you say about me.  We often do not see ourselves as others do.  So thankyou.  It is fairly usual to understate or underestimate our own talents and good points.  And no doubt you are doing exactly the same. I must say that I envy your talent and your creativity, something I have always wished I had.  And I truly appreciate your compassion and willingness to help everyone else.  Shelley is like that as well, but so are you.

Hello Scotchfinger.  Hey everyone, we have a newcomer!  Welcome to you.

Sherie xx

Hi Sherie and thanks for your welcome. I agree that others see us differently to how we see ourselves. I fear they may see something negative that I haven't already noticed myself. But occasionally I am surprised and pleased to hear that someone saw something good in me.

Hi Scotchfinger,

It should not surprise you that others see good things in you.  Everyone has good qualities, but not everyone see's those qualities, especially ourselves I think.

I look forward to getting to know you better.  I notice that you have been working your way around the site and have already contributed to a number of threads that obviously interest you.  Thats great, and I hope you get from this what you are seeking.

Oh please don't hate yourself. Though I know this is easier to say then actually doing it. Because I struggle with this too.

I always see you as an organized sort of person, would that be right? I am not sure exactly why I am asking this, I guess I just want to know more about you. Let's see, I know you live with your boyfriend in WA. I think in Perth, near a beach. You have two dogs. One little one, that is a bit like a shadow and walks in the cat door. You really love your doggies. You like wrapping gifts up real pretty like. You like puzzles, though I cannot remember which ones. What other things do you like to do? I know your mum lives in the UK. Were you born there? I have English ancestry , my dear mother was born in Nottingham. I have never actually been to WA.

Anyway I do thank you....

for the kindness you gave to me that was portrayed in your words. And for all your hugs. It means a lot.

You have a good day tomorrow. With love

Shelley xx

Hey Scotchfinger

Hug for you today. I have to tell you this, the first time I read your username, I so much loved it. And it made me smile. There is a lightness about the name you chose. And it is sort of familiar.....

Shelley xx

How did you go on your second day at your new job? Were you anxious at all? Were the people all kind to you? Hope you have a good day tomorrow. All my love...

Shelley xx

PS.   I loved the way you called me "Shelley my love", I was blessed by it, and it bought tears to my eyes xx.

Better than Iced Vovo?

Hi Shell, how are you today?  Here's a big hug to give you strength to get through another day  (((  )))

Yes, work was good yesterday.  Yes I was really nervous again, but got over it once I got there.  I have my own key now, so I arrived and was on my own for most of the day.  But I got everything done that needed to be done. I did have a visit from one of the committee members when I nearly done.  He is a really talkative old fellow, and thinks I'm wonderful.  Or so he says anyway.  He is probably a little lonely and talks a lot which holds me up a bit.  He's really nice though.

I dont know what it is, but I always seem to have old people and kids gravitate to me.  They always seem to like me for some reason.  I dont mind at all, because I am quite comfortable and can just be me with old people and kids.  I dont feel as though I have to be something or somebody that I'm not.  That may be why I enjoy visiting old people in nursing homes.  Speaking of which, I am heading off to visit Shirley now.  Hope to take her out for a cuppa today.  She'll like that.

I think Shelley, if you and I ever met in person, there would be lots of tears!

Scotchfinger - Yes, scotchfinger name is much better than Iced Vovo for you.  Iced Vovo doesnt fit the profile picture at all!  Your picture looks very much like a scotchfinger - solid and dependable, not too fancy.  So good choice.

Talk later, but in the meantime, I hope you all have a good day.

Sherie xx

Yesterday wasn't a great day. I was scared again this morning. Still don't know if I can do this trip to the UK.

yes Shelley, you're spot on with all those things, I like all puzzles. I did a 3D puzzle the other day. It's like a jigsaw, but the pieces are 3D so the end result is like a little statue rather than a flat picture. Mum lives in the UK, I was actually born in NZ. Unless you like it hot, don't visit WA in the middle of summer. I think the best time is spring or Autumn. It's still nice and warm but not so hot that you just want to stay in the aircon.

I'm a little worried because I've lost my appetite again.

Sherie I'm glad you had a good second day. I think it's a great indication when children like you. They're like animals, they have a radar for genuine people, they can tell a good person at 30 paces.
