Shelley, the job is for anything from 2 hours per week up to possibly around 20 hours per week at times. And yes, Holly is the sweetest little dog ever, and also cute. Plus lots of character.
Chicken Wings - I expect that the job is just what I need right now after a pretty rough few months for me. I am now getting really anxious about it. But if I wasnt worrying about the new job then I would be fretting about something else. So hey, I'll get there!
Yes the loss of someone so young (11yo) is very very hard, and the circumstances of the car accident were pretty horrific as well. So it is going to be a very low key Christmas for all the family this year. Her school have unveiled a memorial garden in her name, and it is quite lovely. She was also a top little athlete and she was awarded a prestigious sports achievement award posthumously last week. That was a really emotional time for my brother and his wife who collected it on her behalf. It just brings everything back to mind again, and reinforces what a huge loss they and her 2 older brothers have suffered.
Besides Holly, we also have a large aviary and we have a dozen budgies. Got lots of babies hatching at the moment, and they are just gorgeous. They love human interaction, and need company. They are all very tame and hop on your shoulder when I go into the cage. Or fly onto my hand when I go in with some treat or other for them. So thats nice. But no we dont run any stock on our little 3 acre block. We just couldnt go from the farm to a quarter acre town block, so we are doing it in stages.
So CW, you have your dog sitter all sorted now. Thats great. Does it also mean you are one step closer to booking your flight? I guess with the successful BBQ last night and then sorting the dog sitter today, you would have deserved a nice few hours sleep this afternoon. Good for you.
