After many years with mixed success on medication for unipolar depression, I am trying a ' magnetic' treatment, we can't mention treatments can we hah? Have had the illness since I was 18 like I said with mixed success , have found the illness confusing at times but am looking forward to seeying if this treatment gives me some clarity, my mother passed two years ago so thats also made things interesting, I try to keep my sense of humour as it has kept me somewhat steady through some rough seas. Hah this has turned it to more of a ramble but yeah.

Even though we maybe suffering from depression, there are times when we are able to laugh, such as, when friends come around for lunch or dinner, but as soon they leave, we are sucked back into the black hole.

The problem is once our family and/or friends see us laughing then they suddenly believe that our depression has gone only to be disappointed once they see back into depression.

Treatment can be mentioned, but not the medication plus we aren't able to diagnose you, as we are not qualified.

Whether magnetic treatment works or not, I can't say, but I know someone who uses it and he believes that it

To continue on, doesn't use it for depression but for arthritis.

True words Geoff, I imagine its very confusing for people outside my family to know what my mood is doing. Ah the treatment was prescribed my dr, its not a homeopath type thing but a medical treatment, maybe the other ' alternative' stuff works for some but yeah i'm needing the hard scientific medical route for now ha.

Hi Fred, at one stage I also had a homoeopath type doctor (friend) who directed me towards a,b, and c, non 'medical remedies' which were expensive, but also had no effect.
