Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

My profile picture changed itself to someone I have never seen before, is that normal?

How can you tell if you are definitely suffering with depression, as everyone is different because your emotions and feelings are unique?

Hi Mikaela

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too!!

I really like your profile picture.

For me, I think I knew deep down a long time ago that i was suffering depression.  I knew something wasn't right, i wasn't feeling happy (like your profile picture!!).  I always felt really down, not happy with myself or the world.

I wish you all the best, pls take care

dear Mikaela, there are many different signs that indicate you may have depression, : loss of appetite and loss of weight, always wanting to stay in bed, no interest in work, loss of contact with friends or they avoid you, unable to make a decision, always thinking in a negative way, don't want to communicate to spouse or partner, lack of keeping clean or lack of showering, no social activity, continual headaches, become very emotional which then makes you cry all the time and for no reason, even listening to your favourite music which again makes you cry, don't feel as though you can or want to talk to any one, or the resentment to do so and the increase of alcohol usage.

I'm sure that there are plenty of other ways on how to tell if you have depression.

From the way you have posted this question doesn't sound to be good for yourself, so I hope that we can be of more help towards you.

This time of the year is always a difficult time for most depressed people, as well as other people who don't suffer from this horrible illness, and there is an enormous sign of relief when it has passed, especially for myself. Geoff.
