Hi All,
I recently moved to Australia from NZ and am finding it really hard here. I’m stressed about money, angry and tired all the time. I cry if anything at all goes wrong in my day. This is not normal behaviour for me. I’m struggling to get into a good exercise and eating routine.
anyone in the same boat?

Carol, welcome to the forum and to Australia.
oving around the corner or within the state or around the country is stressful enough but moving to a new country can be very difficult.
I am not sure if you have friends and support here but making new contacts , finding work and finding accommodation can be tricky without local knowledge.
If you browse threads you will find people moving to another country often feel like you do.
Do you have a doctor you could chat to.
Its a lot of change that happens at same time. You often lose your support system when you move overseas.
You may find you have to learn a lot quickly.
It is good you have been honest here about how you feel. At times it may help to be flexible, you have wanted to live in a certain place etc
Keep on posting you are not alone.
Quirky

Hi Caro!
I want to reiterate what quirkywords said; you really can't overestimate just how stressful a move can be. It's often said that marriage, death, and moving are the three most stressful life changes. Ironically, the fact that this is not normal behaviour for you is itself totally normal.
All this to say welcome to Australia from a fellow newbie (moved here a few months ago from the US). It can be really overwhelming to move at all, let alone to a new country. Give yourself plenty of time to settle into a routine! I've also found it hard to keep active, and like you have found my mood much more sensitive to swings from small things.
I know that there are lots of Kiwis living here, and wouldn't be surprised if there were Facebook groups for NZ expats in your town/city if you're ever feeling homesick or want to commiserate about some of the quirks of this wonderful island country.
All best and welcome to Oz!
