Lately I have started to feel better than I have been.  I have a long way to go.  Went to drug and alcohol counseling which has helped.  I know it's going to take some time before I get to that happy place,  but at least I'm heading in the right direction. My hubby still gives me grief for hanging out with a friend. He didn't like me getting my tongue pierced. Now he complained that I want to dye my hair black. I am my own person and should be allowed to do the things I want

Hi Lost76

For the most part that is a pleasing post ... really awesome to hear that you're beginning to feel a little better.

And the counselling session you went to sounded like it was a really positive experience.  This is all really excellent stuff.

With regard to your friend, if they are a strong support for you, then surely hubby should understand that you need this person - having someone like that is a huge bonus to have when we feel so bad.

You are correct, you are your own person ... if that's your hair in the upside down pic, then from my angle, it's reasonably close to black anyway.  Go for it.  I mean it's not as though it'll be like that forever, will it.

Great to hear back from you Lost76 and keep posting as long as you feel ok to do so.
