Sounds

Hi Guys

Im new to this site, but have suffered depression most of my adult life (im 49). I recently lost my nan who has played a huge part in my life, along with work stress and with the way the world is with covid the past 12 months has wrecked havoc with my depression. I imagine many people are in a similar boat to me. I stumbled across some sounds that i found soothing, ive always loved listening to rain of a night laying in bed and found it took some of the pain away and made me feel somewhat relaxed, so ive found some sounds and would listen to them at night.

Stay safe, Stay OK most of all talk to those around you.

Hey Dazzi, welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry for your loss, I've lost my Grandparents too so I know how hard it is. I don't know about the work stress though.

Take care, we're here for you.

Hi dazzi I lost my grandmother on one side the week before covid 19 was first mentioned and a few days before I had a appointment with my gp to talk about my issues so kind of broke down over that and ever since I’ve been numb about losing her. And I’m so sorry for your loss and just know if you ever need to chat I’m here for you ok 🤗.

Just want to say thanks to you guys, ill be sure to check in here. i feel good atm moment but that could change, as you probably know that the smallest of issues can trigger it. Family, friends and music (including listening to nature) is what gets me thru the hard times.

Hey Dazzi, you're welcome, we're all here for you. I find that (I know this may be different to your post) I get sensory overload with noises or if people talk too much in person, and I get agitated. For example dishes clashing together. Nature and music helps me too, I don't have any family (except my parents) and any friends unfortunately
