Hi debi30,
About 3 years ago I had a TT and then a lower body left 18 months after that and both times suffered 'post surgery' depression.
The problem was I had these surgeries because I was already depressed about my weight and body, so it's hard to know when one depression started and the other ended.
I do know though that following surgery it is fairly common to suffer from these sort of feelings and then add to that your different role at work, well it has all the ingredients for a pressure cocktail.
As far as meds go that's up to you of course. Maybe a short course of anti- depressant may help as they will also help with your lack of sleep, and edginess. You can always stop if you don't like their effect on you.
You have had major surgery and you are still in the recovery phase and need to do what is right for you.
Good luck
