Hi I am Claire
I am new to the online forum.
I got diagnosed with depression and anxiety a year ago. It has been a big roller coaster in learning that I have depression and anxiety and how to cope with it. Learning what my triggers are and how to try and live with them. As stress is a trigger I was studying full time and working casually. It has been really hard but trying to get through.

Hello Claire
Welcome to the forums and for having the courage to post too 🙂
You are spot on about the roller coaster ride. It can be an awful place to be in Claire
I think you are amazing by reaching out like you have. Many people bury anxiety/depression under the carpet as I did years ago to my detriment.
You also didnt say you were 'fighting' the anxiety or its triggers and good on you! You mentioned 'Living with them' This is excellent technique as when we fight these feelings they only intensify
I was diagnosed with the same at 23 and it took me a long time to begin to heal as I thought I could 'get over it' I was so very wrong.
Besides eating well and exercising (which you would know) the real key to healing effectively is frequent counseling whether with a community mental health worker, a psychologist or even if you have a good GP.
I only had infrequent appointments with my therapist which only prolonged my own anxiety.
As you mentioned it is very hard to do Claire. I understand what you are going through.
Fortnightly visits are great and weekly counseling is even better. I had weekly visits for over 6 months and this community based (free) psychiatric nurse gave me my life back.
If you have any questions or concerns about your symptoms there are many caring people on the forums that are happy to be here for you.
you are not alone here Claire
Great to meet you too
my kind thoughts, Paul
