Welcome to the forums, Jdragon.

Well done for making the decision to post. I hope this community will be a new listening post. I take it there is no one around you at the moment who could offer much needed support. Struggling with mental conditions is hard enough as it is. Doing it alone sure doesn't help.

May I ask if your diagnosis dates from before your Mum's passing or was it triggered by your loss ? Grieving is a process that cannot be fast forwarded. You had no time to prepare yourself. I imagine you were left reeling with shock. This would make recovery more difficult.

It seems that right now, a potential new business, moving forward is more stress than you can cope with. The only way to proceed would be one small step at a time. Not putting more pressure on yourself than you can handle. It doesn't mean giving up, just proceeding slowly and cautiously. Some things may have to be left on the back burner for a while. Taking good care of your inner well-being is the priority.

So please be kind to yourself. Procrastination, the stuck feeling is your brain letting you know that-at this point in time- it couldn't cope with the extra pressure. A self-protective measure. Right now, your inner resources are at a low.

Is your psy someone you can connect and work with ? Do you feel on the right track where therapy is concerned ? It can be a long journey so patience and persistence are a must. Sorry about the questions but a few answers would help us give you adequate support and point you in the right direction. You deserve all the help you can get to put your life back on track.

Meanwhile, please feel free to post as much and as often as you feel comfortable with, if only to shed some of the overload weighing you down. Rest assured you will be heard.

Here for you.

Whats causing most of this depresssion, PTSD, insomnia is not only missing mum and the way she passed so suddenly but the fact that I was planning on buying a successful business when she died so I could get out of this 9-5 desk job and shear boredom of office work. Now I feel that I cant go through with it as she was my listening post. I also have mild ADHD and cant sit behind a desk anymore. Its driving me nuts.

If you leave buying a new business aside for a while, is there a possibility of finding a different job, better suited to your needs ?

Is there a particular area of work that would tempt you ? I agree we all need stimulation. So what would you choose to do if there was nothing to stop you ?
