Hi bencal
Welcome to Beyond Blue and thanx for providing your post.
An interesting one at that.
When you say you were walking your dog, is that your real dog/puppy? Or is it your “real black dog”? One who salivates blood and strains at the leash to get off and reek havoc?
A dark party – sounds interesting – I think we’d need for all of us to keep our black dogs on remarkably strong chains so they don’t go and ‘spoil our party’.
Cheers
Neil

Hi bencal,
I think I can relate a little bit to what you're saying. Have you ever tried to talk to anyone in person about these thoughts you're having? I think it would be very helpful to talk to someone (no matter if it's friends and family or a psychologist) and know that you have a wonderful support group around you who are always willing to help in some way.
Also, maybe consider writing you're thoughts down? It will help sort your thoughts out and understand them a bit better.
Next time, when you 'walk your dog' (whether real or metaphorical), try focusing in on your senses and appreciating even the smallest bits of nature around you. This mindfulness exercise works really well for me.
Take care,
Steph
