We're very sorry to hear how anxious you've been feeling and acknowledge the impact this has on managing everyday life. We're really glad you've chosen to reach out to our community tonight and hope we can offer some advice and support to help you manage. We would strongly recommend that you get in touch with Kids Helpline - https://kidshelpline.com.au/. It sounds like you're in a really tough situation and it might help to talk it out whenever you're feeling overwhelmed. Kids Helpline counsellors can be contacted 24/7 via telephone and also via webchat if you go through the website provided.
If you are interested, we would also recommend getting in touch with an organisation called Headspace. Headspace is an organisation specifically for young people aged 12-25 and they offer a wide range of services including group programs which are a great opportunity to meet people. They also have a group chat on their webpage: https://headspace.org.au/
Please feel free to reach out here on your thread and keep us updated on what you're feeling and experiencing whenever you feel up to it.

Hello WinterRin
Welcome too and thankyou for your thread topic!
I understand your feelings with anxiety as I used to have the same as yourself and any level of anxiety can be awful to have. Just from my own experience if a parent has depression or anxiety it doesnt mean we will..
Sophie_M mentioned our friends at the Kids Helpline in her post above. These are very caring and non judgmental people that are available 24/7 on 1800 55 1800

Hey Winter Rin,
Maybe you're all good with the resources the others provided, but I wanted to respond anyway...
I've had anxiety ever since I can remember, although I wasn't diagnosed until quite recently (in my 30s) and didn't realise how much it affected me, as I always thought it was depression. It took me ridiculously long to realise that anxiety was a major trigger for my depression.
So what you're saying does make a lot of sense to me, and it might be good to talk to someone if you're feeling that way for a while (or again in the future). I found talking to a GP easier than someone I knew well for some reason. The first time was still hard, that was 9 years ago, but it does get easier.
I hope you're better already by now. All the best!
