hello and welcome.

'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing constant thoughts of impending doom. It can be unsettling and distressing to have such persistent feelings. Have you ever spoken with your GP or an mental health professional about your thoughts? I have and still do.... they can help you explore these thoughts in a safe and confidential environment, and work with you to develop coping strategies to manage them.

Hi Mickfor,

Thank you for posting here, we welcome you to the forums. As small wolf has said, seeing a professional about how you’re feeling can always be a good start, if you’d feel comfortable. I always advocate for journalling/writing down exactly how you’re feeling as it happens, as it can help you express all your unexpressed feelings.

How often are you having these thoughts? Are there any particular triggers or circumstances in which you get these thoughts more? Please let us know and we can support you as best as we can.

All the best, SB

While there is general consensus that the world is undergoing some crisis, your concerns seem to be much closer to home.
If living in a dangerous area, we can usually choose to remain in the relative security of home; but when the sanctuary of where you live and support from family is limited or compromised in some way, you might want to reach out for some assistance from the authorities if you feel your personal safety is being threatened.
Perhaps you would feel comfortable describing how life is in your shoes presently so we can address your immediate concerns? Alternatively, you might prefer to contact the support lines for a confidential chat:-
