Hi nickname1119,

Firstly, welcome to the forums.

Sorry to read what you are going through, regarding your depression feelings, how long have you had them for? I know not being able to concentrate and being tired all the time is common symptoms of a mental health issue. Have you ever spoken to anyone about how you are feeling? Maybe your parents or a school counsellor? I know the pressures of doing VCE are tough as it is without having to deal with a mental illness.

Please, post back as much as you like, I am always happy to talk.

My best for you,

Jay

Hello Nickname1119, can I also welcome you to the forum.

I am really sorry to hear about your depression and with your family having high expectations for you to do well is not helping the situation.

If you are suffering from depression then your studies are going to be affected, it will be hard to concentrate and to retain anything.

Your depression needs to be addressed and anyone who you feel comfortable with telling needs to be told.

You need relief from your family expecting high results and by telling them may ease your depression, but I would ask your parents to take you to the doctors.

All of this needs to be done by telling someone and also seeing the doctor, both of these require constant attention. Geoff.
