I cherish the time spent with family. Everything else is a composite for a warm life.
I am alone. I exist in pain. This path leads further inside.
Time passes, and I reflect solemnly on all that is lost with each passing moment.
I never wanted to be here, but I've been too scared to stray. And it is self fulfilling - the feared turned inevitable.
Where's the light? Where's my hope? What hasn't crumbled in my fingers when clutched to the chest?
I'm a fool.

Hi 2514
I can suggest you read as much as you can with threads on this site.
You could start with googling this thread-
"Topic: Depression- a ship on the high seas -beyondblue"
There are many more. If I had more information about you and your condition then as a person with emotional issues I might be able to relate to your current state of mind.
Be kind to yourself

Hi there 2514
Welcome to Beyond Blue and thank you for coming here.
It sounds pleasing that you do cherish your time spent with your family – and I hope that all is going very well with your family.
You exist in pain – this is no doubt with your depression? And that you are alone, so I’m guessing that you haven’t opened up to anyone close to you about your illness? Do you think that there may be at least ‘someone’ who you could possibly let know. Coming on here to Beyond Blue is a very beneficial and positive step to take, but it’s not quite the same as having someone close by you – I guess as long as you feel they would be supportive of you.
Where is your hope? Hope can be snared from many sources – but we have to make the effort as well for this. I’d say the first positive thing you’ve done is to come here and post. Perhaps a second one would be to make an appointment with you doctor and progress further from there.
I would be very pleased to hear back from you – as no doubt would Tony as well – as hopefully you’d feel a bit more comfortable in sharing some more information.
Kind regards
Neil
