Hello Randomguy81, welcome to the site.
Although I'm not a qualified doctor, can I say that both depression and anxiety are normally related together in one way or another, one day one may be more dominant than the other, while the next day it can be reversed as I have experienced myself, so how you are feeling, you aren't alone in anyway.
We want to thank you so much for joining because being like this means that you need support from those who have experienced this themselves and understand exactly what you are struggling with and please know that all we want to do is help you.
I am a father and was in the same position years ago and only wished that Beyond Blue was active back then so I could have people who would understand and I could talk with, now it's possible people are here to help you with your worries, so please if you can get back to us, that would be great.
Take care.
Geoff.

Hi randomguy81,
Thank you for taking the step to reach out on the forums. The challenges you are struggling with are well known to so many of us who visit these forums. Whilst we cannot completely understand your unique situation, please know that you are in a community of like-minded people who have battled similar challenges to you.
Meaning and purpose are critical aspects of what it means to be human. Why do I get out of bed? Why do I bother? The answers often seem elusive, particularly when we are feeling down or depressed. I am wondering if your experiences are a clue that you may be battling with an untreated depressive illness as you alluded to.
Many people find that reaching out to their GP can be a helpful first step in getting access to a psychologist to start to work through these issues with. Alternatively, the resources Sophie_M has provided are there for you if you are feeling particularly distressed and need help now.
Sometimes, just reaching out on these forums can help us to feel as if we are a little less alone.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you go.
J&B

not really
i'm currently in a bad place, i have 2 major problems
the first 1 is i do things i want to do, once i do them i hate them, for example i want to talk to someone and then when i do i wish i didn't, happens a'lot when i call the help services number or talk to family, i can say hello and then i don't know why i called
2nd problem i have is i don't like what i have in my life( family friends work), but then i don't know what i want
hence the reason why i don't want to be here anymore, i find it to hard,
