Hi Nic, welcome to the forums!
I understand youre dealing with a lot and it can be hard, especially at such a young age (says me, a sixteen year old haha) as it can feel as though you dont have many options. I'm glad you reached out to others, it must of been hard, as it's very hard for everyone to begin getting help or talking about whats going on.
I suggest talking to your school counselor, even your not comfortable talking to them about the biggest issues, you can get help with smaller ones youre comfortable sharing. If things get worse or you want to take a step foward, you could try consulting the the counselor about them helping you talk to your mum about this. Hearing from a professional can sometimes help stubborn parents.
You can also try calling the beyond blue support hotline about everything. They're supportive and nonjudgmental professionals that can give expert advice for coping or getting more help if needed.
As for losing interest in your activities, thats common in many of these situations. I too stuggled with it and ended up dropping out of all my extra curricular activities. Now that im coping a bit better i really regret doing that. So my advice to you is to continue pushing yourself into doing the activities you like. Because in the end when youre out of this rut youre currently in, youll be so happy to still have those skills and friendships through them.
hope this helped a bit,
Sam

HI Nic and welcome to the to the bb forums
I know how rough it can be going through a cycle of depression (for me mostly anxiety) as a teenager. I felt like I was all alone with it.
Might I suggest a free service that specialise in youth mental health. It is called headspace. They have various centres accross the company as well as an online service if they don't have one. Another thing you could try is talking to your school counsellor. I saw one at my university and found it very helpful.
Is there anything you'd like to talk to me about. I am a good listener
