Welcome to the forum and thanks for having the courage to write this post. I have had people say to me'smile things are not that bad". My resting face is very seriuous.
I feel you should be yourself.Would you be able to go to doctor.? I think if it would to talk someone.

Hi there
I agree with with Quirky, well done on taking the first step and posting here. It sounds like things haven't felt quite right for some time, and while it can be hard to talk about these things, doing so can bring some relief that things can start heading in a different direction. Talking to a GP can be a good start. I"m not sure what stage of life you're at, but if you're at school or uni there's usually counselling services you could chat to. Otherwise if you would be more comfortable you could ring Beyond Blue for some advice, or use their chat service. But it does sound like you could benefit from having a chat to someone, however and whoever you decide most comfortable with.
It's quite possible too, that your Dad doesn't understand that you're finding things hard, and if he did know, he might be more supportive. My son struggled when he was in high school, and I really wish he'd shared that with me so I could help him.
What do you think? Do you feel like you'd be able to have a go at opening up to someone?

Hi IdkDash, welcome to the forums.
You're not a burden and you do have a point and purpose in life, it's okay if you don't know what it is yet and that you feel that way. I'm here if you'd like to talk.
