Last few days have been horrible. Rather than going on my lengthy walks where I'm gone for at least a couple of hours, I'm stuck walking round the block. I have always despised anything covering my face so I don't wear a mask. People talk about when things will be going back to normal and I'm not sure if they will; it seems anyone out on a simple walk who's not wearing a mask is viewed upon with great suspicion.
That woman in Bunnings who had a go at staff who wasn't wearing one for example. The staff told her that not wearing one was endangering everyone's lives. I say "How?" If this woman was perfectly healthy with no virus-like symptoms, how is she a danger to everyone. The thought behind it from ministers is that she could have it and not know it. Which returns to my point that everyone who is not wearing a mask is viewed with eerie suspicion and that disgusts me. It's like everyone is being seen as a potential bio-hazard.
It doesn't help when I hear Daniel Andrews telling off those in the public who still refuse to wear a mask that he won't tolerate them saying "I can do whatever I want and the law can't touch me." Isn't that what he says and does every single day? Why else has he got the police going after the public for the tiniest and minuscule offenses when he has them looking the other way when he and his party commit offenses like fraud, deception and covering up a crime?
The other day I decided to email that Chinese woman that I stopped talking to on that very expensive chatting site, to see if she had moved on or whether her feelings for me were real. She said they were, but when I told her that I still had feelings for her, that they never stopped, she told me to prove it to her by rejoining that chat site again and return to losing money each time just to talk to her. I declined naturally. I said we have email and I can't believe what she said: "Emailing is a waste of time and emotion."
So as you can imagine, things haven't been going well. Why should I feel on edge when all I'm doing is going for a casual walk all by myself when no one's around?
