We are at our boss' disposal.
We are at our landlord's/real estate's disposal.
We HAVE to pay tax and GST.
We HAVE to vote.
We HAVE to all the social 'norms'.
We can lose it all in a second if we don't comply.

You have shared some very valid statements here... all of these necessities can make it feel like we have little control, and it can be both frustrating and disheartening. You are allowed to feel this way; we are sure that many people here can relate too.
When we are feeling out of control, it can be helpful to notice where we do have freedom and choice. What comes to mind for you?
Looking forward to your response.
Warm regards,
Sophie M.

Your reply makes no sense.
- If I had something in my control... I wouldn't have written the post.
- I don't. I work. Sleep. Then work again. I really hate it when people try to make the bad look good. It's not. It's bad, no matter how you want to glitter it up.

Because things feel more challenging right now, what support would be most helpful for you? Maybe we can start there? 😊💙

Hi KatnissPrimrose
When we're younger, we may dream of becoming more conscious. We may seriously long to become more aware, while imagining greater consciousness or awareness is going to make life so much easier and make us more zen-like or sage-like. In reality, it can make life so much harder at times. And if we're an intensely or deeply feeling kind of person, we can feel all the intolerable, enraging, stressful and/or depressing things we've suddenly become much more conscious of. It can lead us to want to either scream or cry, when it starts to become mentally, physically and emotionally confronting.
I can't help but wonder which emotions you're struggling with the most. Rage? Stress? Grief of some kind? Resentment? Maybe all those combined or something completely different. On top of mixed emotions, inner dialogue can definitely add to it all. Personally, I'm a gal whose inner dialogue tends to add fuel to an already well established emotional fire.
There is so much in life that can be highly questionable. To raise just one of your points, my 19yo son said to me the other day 'Why would I vote for any person or any party I don't want to vote for? Give me someone I actually want to vote for and am excited about voting for and I'll vote for them. At the moment in this country it seems to be more so about electing the person or party that's going to do the least amount of damage. How uninspiring is that?!'. I must say I tend to agree with him. And when it comes to social 'norms', I believe society in general is kinda insane. Not a fan of a lot of the social norms, myself. I find trying to be 'normal' is just so much hard work at times.
