Dysthymia

Hey everyone, I was diagnosed with dysthymia (persistent depressive disorder) by a doctor on discharge from the psychiatric ward on Monday. I thought I would drop in to say hi as I guess I belong here now. Cheers.

Youāre last sentence sounds like youāre struggling with acceptance of your diagnosis of dysthymia (persistent depressive disorder)ā¦. as you say you⦠āguess you belong here nowā.ā¦please, try to be gentle on yourselfā¦.mental health illnesses can unfortunately strike anyone down at anytime, and itās something we donāt have control overā¦but what we do have control over is how we accept it and manage itā¦.
You have come to the right place to get support by our community members to help you in your journey towards wellnessā¦.
