Hi Ive had depression most of my life and it sucks It’s hard when you have trouble dealing with it It’s not like a bad mood where you normally come out of it in a reasonable timeframe Sometimes I can be doing things I actually enjoy and still be depressed How does that work Hard on people around you as well

Hi there,
Welcome to the forums and thanks for your honesty in your post, it's much appreciated. I hear you, it sucks to go through depression and can be so draining in many ways. It's true, it often sucks out the joy, even things we usually like doing. If you're looking for some suggestions, I would say meditation and going for a walk/bike ride really helps to calm you and be grateful for nature, the things you have in your life, people, etc. so I would try that if you haven't already-plus it's really good for you. I'm curious, do you still hang out with family/friends and if so do you feel disinterested or sad then as well?
I hope you're ok and please take care of yourself. We're here for you whenever you wish to talk again,
