Is there anyone else out there experiencing all three of these conditions at once as I am?
So many gifts, so much difficulty to manage...
Specifically tips on waking up the nervous system would be most appreciated right now.
Currently on a morning workout, cold shower, amphetamine, strong coffee, and still struggling to feel a pulse ?
How to pressurise the mind without creating actual risk to create the adrenaline required to stimulate frontal lobes?
Mind wandering into creative imaginary scenarios when trying to read, even if I really need to read the thing. Doesnt occur with talented writers who know how to maintain emotional engagement. EG I read 688 pages of Tony Robbins Money in 2 days. Tips on maintaining engagement ?
Challenges with all symptoms associated with diminished frontal lobe capacity, emotional regulation, forward planning, decision making, social interaction, although these functions are superior to most others when emotionally stimulated. Essentially existing with an addiction to anything causing the release of dopamine like a crack addict, just to function. Not to complain, this is just the reality. Does anyone have any strategies for management ?
Thanks.

Hi Rocket Man,
Sorry I don't have the answer for you! Just wanted to acknowledge your thread, to welcome you here and to hope someone has some answers and suggestions for you.
Some days I have trouble getting out of bed and deciding what to wear and in which sequence do I need to conduct my morning activities without causing myself to panic and stress too much.
Hope someone has some suggestions for you!
All the best from Dools

Hey Dools! Thankyou, appreciate the love.
I have those issues also. I find it really hard to control my attention and subsequent thoughts, as they kept me in bed for 45 minutes this morning, but fortunately I have been working at this for over a year, and I have some momentum with my morning routine and eventually was able to push through. I dont always do it perfectly, but for me the way I start my day, has a big impact on how it turns out, so maybe if I share what I do that works, maybe something will work for you, but everyones different.
With my clothes I wear the same thing every day so I dont need to make a decision, and my process is always the same in the morning, so I know exactly how long it should take. The variable then is only how much thought floats through my head and how positive or negative it is. I have found that doing the exact same routine every morning conditions a habit, and lets my behaviour go on autopilot so I am able to be more aware of what I am thinking. My routine is always;
- lie in bed, be aware of breathing and try to make slow controlled breaths ( im really nervous always and have short breaths, this causes a neurological loop to stay nervous) usually I cant concentrate on this for very long, maybe 30 seconds to a minute if im lucky, but I try...
-10 minute run
- 30 push ups
- cold shower, shave, hair, deodorant, get toothpaste and brush out so I dont forget.
- get dressed and take enough pills to fill a pasta bowl (just kidding, but its alot)
- breakfast and coffee
- review yesterday, what i did, what worked, what didnt, what i need to do differently today
- set 1-3 critical focus tasks for the day, and my intention for the day
Then i'm ready for the chaos of constant mind wandering, distraction, forgetfullness, panic and monotony. Sometimes my day is a complete disaster and I dont want to look at the review of yesterday, so this part falls off often, but I put it in there since I know it works for me and is part of the plan.
Hopefully something in that is useful Dools, any questions please ask, and hope you have a great day.

rocket man,
What helpful suggestions you gave I. Your last post, a bit too e energetic for me.
I have bipolar and Imover think, read a few books at once and find it hard concentrate.
I write my self lists if I need to focus one thing and break it down into small tasks.
I am not good at relaxing. sometimes I
if I accept this is who I am and stop fighting things I manage better.
It is interesting to read how you cope as we all manage or try to i our own way.
