Dear Simplyhappy~
That's a great question, and an awful lot of people here in this Forum have been working at the answer.
I can give you my solutions, which have been mostly effective. I've PTSD, anxiety and bouts of depression. It was basically caused by my occupation and I kept going downhill until I received proper medical care and ongoing support form my partner. All that after the main cause, work, was removed permanently.
Medical help consisted of hospitalization (which I'm not suggesting you need), trial and error medications over a long period, various therapies pus life-style changes.
Those changes related to removing things that stress, using nutrition, exercise and rest combined activity (work when I was able) with regular distractions built into each day. These gave me something to look forward to and took my mind right away from daily hassles.
Now Simplyhappy I've told you a fair bit about me, would you like to come back and talk more abut yourself? I'm not trying to be nosy, it's just if we know your circumstances we might be able to answer your question better

Hi simplyhappy ,
Firstly, welcome to the forums.
Great question, you are in the right spot to ask that question, personally for me, I overcame a lot of my anxiety and mild depression by just talking about it and realising I am not dealing with this all on my own, I reached out for help from a GP and then a psychologist which helped me a lot of put my mind to some ease. It is different for everyone of course. Are you currently struggling with these mental health concerns?
My best for you,
Jay
