This is probably gonna be another dramatic post so I'll try to keep it canned as possible.
But yeah I just can't comprehend on what we're supposed to be doing here anymore, like everyone seems to be so absorbed into their own generalisation's & opinion's about why we're here & what our purpose of existence is, however in a grand of it, i just dont really see any reason to being here at all, i think its completely arbitrary.
Are we really just meant to go to work make money, pay bills, get trapped in debt & do it all over again, is that really what this is all about, because thats what it seems to be, & whats even more bizarre is how alot of people are cool with it, you know we go throught all this struggle, all this heartache, all this sacrifice just to lose it in the end, like how on earth does that make any sense, its like a herd mentality that just goes & does whatever everybody else's is doing without question & i really have a hard time living abide that.
How does anybody go on being told what to do their entire lives & act like nothing's up, i really dont get people like that i absolutely dont, its like everybody's living in their own inner world's, fooling themselves as much as they can to avoid confrontations which i can understand, but i just dont relate to many, like those who wanna get married, those who "want" kids, those who wanna build a career or job is there really a difference, retiring to preservation age, i just dont see the point in any of these tradition's, at the end of the day they all made up mentally & imposed by others.
We trade so much time chasing finite things rather than focusing on what aligns us, im not saying dont try & make connections, but we only live long right which is taken up more by survival mode, if you think things couldn't be more dystopian enough just wait, everyone like's to be grandiose about the future acting all confident about it, but looking at things now just doesnt seem so promising & I wouldn't count on hope for that.
Nothing feels the same anymore, everythings feels so individualised where social media has disconnected us more than connected, we were fine without it after all these years, now all of the sudden we gotten so used to believing that we need it now, its like we digging our own trench & all we seem to do is say, oh well we cant control it, well alright then.
Just so sick of coping, distracting, hoping, slaving, how does anybody not get tired of this, for real you know, anyway thats all for today.

Hello Realist_Sapien,
I've seen another thread you started. I wasn't sure what to say. Indeed, I'm still not sure.
I wanted to welcome you to the forum, because we haven't met before.
I have a few thoughts brewing in my mind about things you are talking about.
For myself, once upon a time, I was very apathetic, not caring about anything, just going along with whatever was going on around me, to me too. I didn't care about myself either, had no idea about what my life could be, if I should be here at all - nothing.
My attitude got me into dangerous situations. & I think I didn't grow up much until well into my 30's. At 15 I couldn't imagine my 30's. Had no plans, no goals, no practical dreams. & no motivation to get up & do anything about them if I had.
Now I'm very nearly an official 'senior' citizen. I've done a few things I've thought were worthwhile, helping people in some way or other. I like to think I can help a little here on BB, too - though not as much as I had hoped. Still, is it worth my effort to try, even if i fail?
I think so.
I have thought of a book I had read, by a man who survived the Holocaust. The book is "Man's Search for Meaning", by Victor Frankl. His main message seems to me to be that any meaning there is to life is up to us to define for ourselves.
Another idea some people have is to leave the world a little better than when they entered it.
Both these ideas take some thought & a great deal of effort.
I can't tell you how to live in this world, only you can. & only you can change things which you control. You cannot control others & force everyone else to hold the same values, beliefs to have the same goals, to want all the same things you think are only sensible. It's a big enough job to care for yourself, to eat well, exercise, find something meaningful, (however you define that meaning), to do with your time. For you, I'm guessing, that won't involve people. Maybe animals or plants?
Just something to think about.
Hugzies,
mmMekitty
