It would be so great to have a thread here where we can chat about almost anything. We can have fun, tell jokes, share stories, you name it!
There's a "BB Cafe" thread in the general area where lots of people chat daily and have established some nice light hearted conversations, it's treated as if it's a real cafe, there's even virtual baked goods and coffee!
Let's create a chat here for anyone to join, in particular the GLBTIQ community to let their collective hair down and chill out. It's a safe space to be yourself.
We just need a name 🙂

Hey and welcome back blue Eyes!
Oh hun, I'm so sorry you've been doing it hard. Starting up your own thread in the Depression section would be a good way to unleash the beast and get out your frustrations and hurt. If the subject matter is more akin to this thread, then go for it! We're here for you my lovely.
I've been dealing with my own issues, but helping others makes me feel better. Dan's given me priceless laughs along the way; he's a pip!
Please know BB's a safe place of anonymity and experiential wisdom ok. We're here for each other to lean on.
Be kind and patient with yourself...

Why did the Chooky cross the road?
Stay tuned or answer it yourself...

thanks innerstrength, yes please do post here or elsewhere. I get that it takes effort but also the feeling that there isn't much someone here can't relate to, and if they can't, they know it and are ready to listen. peace ~ Rayne

Hi everyone. How was your weekend. I went to Ekka. It was a long day but it was worth it to see the night fireworks.
inner strength sara is right, you can always start a new forum if you think you want to vent and not wanting to do it on this forum.
dan I've never been a fan of dark creepy places too (as well as anxiety which makes me feel like that). My friends wanted me to go into a haunted house at Ekka but the last time I did that I was a kid and got so scared that I put my hands to my eyes and froze. My family finished and walked out of the ride. My dad had to pay again to come in and get me. It makes me laugh thinking about it, but to this day I do not wanna go into a haunted house. As Sara just pointed out you have commented on the welcome forum. I'll have to go check it out afterwards
Everyone Hey guys. Just want to remind everyone that if you have moved since the last election and need to update your postal address you need to do it by the 24th August. The equal marriage plebiscite will only be sent by post (which is annoying) so make sure you address is up to date. You can do it on the AEC website. I just changed my address today.

Hi Guys I have a question for everyone
As you may know the BB forums used to have a section for LGBT+ however due to not enough posts they decided to get rid of this section and merge it with other sections. We still do not have enough posts to get another section open however I was thinking maybe we could have a pinned thread on LGBT+ community where people can ask questions and get support. THis thread is more light and for social aspects. But some people has serious questions and concerns and may not want to start their own thread. I was thinking of starting a thread. I was just wanting your opinion on this
- DO you think there should be a pinned thread specific for LGBTQI+ would be beneficial to have
- If there were to be a pinned thread what do you think it should be called?

Hey Danny;
Ah...another deep and meaningful riddle. (Btw, your Chooky has hootzpar! That's Jewish for "You go girl!!")
A: Getting a clown pregnant would probably happen in the traditional way, however while they continue to skulk under beds or jump out from hiding places to scare people out of their wits, finding a compatible partner might cause an issue. Psychotic clowns need love (and maybe a dating site) too; maybe we should have a postal plebiscite about it...x
MsP; kudos for the forum LGBTI+ thread idea and questions. This issue's been on my mind too. I've asked members occasionally to join us here in the Café with limited success. As it's a social thread and we do seem a tight knit group, some might feel apprehensive to post.
I'm thinking of Eyes (Inner Strength) and how she's struggling atm. Our social banter's fun and friendly without a doubt, but it seems we need a place to discuss serious matters too. It's an age old problem where 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few'.
In my view, having a pinned LGBTI+ thread in the Welcome and Orientation Section called something like 'LGBTI+ Members - Start Here', or 'Welcome to our LGBTI+ Members'.
Depression and Suicidal Thoughts sections seem to attract interest with everyone including our crowd. A pinned thread there could work too. (or as well)
Hey blue Eyes! Thinking of you lovely. It seems difficult for you to air the specifics of your pain; this concerns me. Sending you a barrel of sunshine and a cool breeze to brush your face. x
Dear Rayne; I'm sure you're still on top of the world hun and rightly so. 'Identifying as...' just doesn't cut it for some; your excitement says it all.
'T' I'm gathering is for testosterone? (Thanks Danny) Tbh, I envy people who truly know their gender. The spectrum of fluidity sucks sometimes. Mind if I duck in for a beer with you and Danny too? Maybe it'll be a 'Fluffy Duck' though; will decide on the day. x
Dear Essen; thinking of you too dear butterfly. x
Miles of smiles to all...

Hi everyone.
Thanks Dan I agree I think we need a section that is more serious than the cafe. I feel like the cafe is where we can hang out and maybe have some light hearted stuff and there maybe should be something that attracts first time users to come even if it's just to get something answered or to get some LGBT perspective. (ally would be welcome)
Sara I am not sure which section of the thread would be good. I think you maybe right in saying that welcome thread may attract more users however if smeone doesn't want to say there welcome they may not go there. I think someone suggested the 'staying well' threads as social is probably not the right place. But again probably won't get first time users. In the description next to staying well maybe the could put LGBT in it. I wonder if that would work? I also like some of your title ideas. I have one but not sure if it is good
LGBT+ members - got a question - need somewhere to start - here is the place
It's a bit lengthy, but I feel like it has all the points. I may draft up an intro and get someone to look over it.
