The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Thank you for the Anzac Biscuits… definitely one of my favourites so I’ll grab a cup of coffee along with a few Anzac biscuits and sit in the comfy chair by the river and indulge myself…

hello string_cheese, don't think I have met you before. your name takes me back to a different time... when I was much younger. Mind you, being lactose free these days probably means that would be on the banned list for me.
I work also. My boss bought donuts which a group of us had for afternoon tea. That was self-care 🙂
We enjoyed each others company.

Hello Wolfie, string_cheese, Grandy Shell4 & everyone,
Following up on the topic of self-care, lately my most important self-care is my music. It's a very long list of songs I've selected to have randomly played to me on a particular website. I'm using it a lot to get myself up & moving. Dancing to some very old rock'n'roll songs boosts my mood, as does moving the body. I give up caring that I don't know the old dances & often feel uncoordinated while dancing, doing my own whatever I feel like, within the confines of my flat. I do have to be mindful that I avoid bumping into furniture or walls, or indeed, tripping up on my own feet. I'm only wanting to have fun getting exercise.
& I'm singing, too. I'm getting better at using my voice at about an octave lower than I used to. I enjoy singing the lower parts I hadn't been able to sing before, years ago. Hard work, but it feels so good thinking I don't have to quit singing.
So, clear off the pool table so I might use it for a stage. Let's have a karaoke dance party!
What song would you karaoke to?
I love the song '16 Tons', by Tennessee Erni Ford. Not dancable, but I love that I can sing it now. Or maybe, I'll do 'The Tennessee Waltz'?
Hugzies,

Anyone NOT into the World Cup Soccer? (like me)
All I can gguess at is there is a ball like a Bucky Ball, players aren't supposed to use their hands, & very few goals are ever scored, & to top it off, it's now a huge money making machine.
Go the Aussies! Oi! Oi! Oi!

Hello Kitty and everyone…l.♥️🤗…
Im not a fan of watching any sport really, but do wish our Australian Soccer team all the best….whether they win or not, they should be very proud of themselves for making the rankings* if that’s the right word…
You go sweetheart, dancing and singing you way of exercising sounds fun..unfortunately I am no singer (sound like a cages animal trying to escape)….dancing my body has forgotten how to….It’s really joyful to hear that you can and are able to do do those things…The pool table will make an awesome stage, as long as all the balls are removed and safety nets put all around so you don’t fall off…
I have many favourite songs, mostly 60s/70’s songs…Looking out my backdoor, Crossroads, Pretty Woman, It’s my party, I heard it through the Grape vine, Under the board walk, I could go on forever….a jukebox party sounds like fun…Im sorry I don’t know any more modern songs/ hits….not able to get any reception on my radio/ stereo here…so it’s mostly, I’m just playing my ancient CD collection…😂 💿…..
Hope you’re all doing well…and staying warm…
Sending some hugs, love and kind thoughts to you all.
Grandy..
