The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe
Important Message from ModSupport:

Nice steady rain here over night and here early morning.I love the sound of rain on the tin roof as it seems to really relax me.Now to stoke up the fire and watch that.I find the fire nice to watch the flames.

Hello Everyone….🤗🌹,
Thank you Paws, I think I’ll have to stop buying them…because like you I finish the whole bag in one sitting….I’ll go back to buttered microwave pop corn 😁…more healthier…
I am going to make a batch of scones today, mind you I haven’t made them in r/l for years…Also I want to try making some bread rolls or a loaf of bread soon…I only remember me doing that in the 70s when we had a bread strike and bread wasn’t available for a few weeks to purchase…We all survived my home made bread back then, so I might do that again soon….one day soon..
Being so cold outside the past few days, windy today, with sleet falling being blown down from snow falling not that far away, definitely an indoor sort of day…
Hugs everyone…stay warm and comfy…
Grandy..

I'm cooking lasagne, one of my favourites. And we usually get two day out of so that's good. I did donut scones two days ago with chocolate sauce, yummy. I like to make my bread roles too, so much better than bought ones.
And it's bloody freezing here! haha

We do that when i make a peanut and curry with chicken... make sure there is enough for the next day. That way, wife and daughter can have a something for lunch. And gluten free as well.

Yesterday was the Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning show.. an event and tribute to a band and a moment in music history that was formative in my youth. Their songs were the soundtrack to so many of those early years. Listening or watching through YouTube, it struck me how time changes everything such as the faces and the voices... but Ozzy sounded OK. And I got to see Jake E Lee. And somehow, that music still connected...

I'm making a huge pot of rice pudding with apples and cinnamon. There are some cultures that have sweet meals as mains and it seem to work for us quite well to get the sugar fix in a healthier way. It uses a lot of eggs and less sugar to make it more filling so it's a nice comfy winter food to lift the mood up.

Hi TrueSeeker, that sounds really nice. Do you eat it warm or cold. It is something I should make for myself as I'm lactose free.

Either ways is fine. I also put some cloves in when boiling the rice. Some lemon and vanilla is good too. And brown sugar or golden syrup gives it better taste.
