The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Hi everyone

I start my first day as a volunteer for the local Library, delivering books to those who cannot get there. Bit apprehensive. Also it's b....dy raining.

Would love to see your art work Magic Monkey. Entering into exhibitions sounds an awesome idea. Also going to markets?? There are so many markets in Queensland. Thinking about that do put some of my photos out there. Much thinking to do about how I want to do that. Having a 'name' (brand name) is a good idea.

Enjoy Bells tomorrow J. Let us know how your chat goes with your boss.

CMF - what are you up to? Your 5 year old can read, though will she understand?? I guess they also 'repeat' things..... So I see your dilemma.

Where's Kanga? Haven't seen you around mate.

Enjoy your day everyone. Will pop back to cafe much later today.

Caio

Hey Jackson,

Your surfboard sounds, well, amazing...but how do they handcraft it just for you?

I am so ignorant,

Flick

Hi Pamela,

I used to put my stuff on Gumtree and E-bay buy not a lot of luck. Perhaps one day i will use my art as my picture instead of the monkey- he's been hanging around for a while now.

Good on you for volunteering. Usually good being out and about, I hope it goes well.

BOO Pam  I cannot wait till there is a general ban on sport on telly. Either get out there and do it or put on music, movies, humor and documentaries. The best humor I have seen is Parliamentary question time. 90% of the time they are abusing each other. Or asking stupid questions. When asking a good question beforehand it has been all teed up between the people you ask this question. the answer Was all ready known by both people but to look good on cameras. But the antics of all of them most of the rest of us left behind in the playground of primary school, maybe high school. Only difference is they are now being payed by us too do it.

Thanks, chat with my boss went really well, we sit down every so often to talk about how i have been going. If you remember, last time I was kind of upset by some feedback, overall pretty good but disappointed.

Today he was really impressed, I have met the 3 goals we set and he was really happy with how I have been going. Really good feedback.

Now I’m off to Bells, chat tonight when I arrive because I’m staying the night down there now 🙂

Also surfboards, yes, you can make them, not an easy job and it is a big expense but they start with the blank and then work from there, we worked on what kind of waves I would need it for, how many fin options, length, volume/thickness, shape, colour, tail shape, heaps of options!!

On the weekend I had some fun contacting the bank. When I was trying my phone banking it prompted me to change my pass word so I did. Did some on line banking it prompted to change my pass word, so I did. Then to cap it off I found out I needed to pay a bill after I had logged off. Who can see where this is going......... yes two new pass words just put in both forgotten with in minuets. So I rang the bank after being locked out from both. Was told they could do nothing for security reasons. Even though I was calling from a phone associated with the account, I had to go to a branch and Identify myself. So I went to a branch on Tuesday ID myself got my phone banking started, several attempts on internet banking no go. Went home sat on my computer opened the internet bank area for my bank put in the details hello it is now working. I was told at the branch I might get some text messages about my banking activation yesterday. Nothing heard at all yesterday at all. Nor this morning. Finally at 6 pm today they text me saying they were activated and did I do it? or know about it. Like if I was a crim and clearing out an account and got the money and running. 24 hours later the poor person says whoa that wasn't me but was cleaned out. Of all their cash I don't have a lot but the principle is I was cleaned out. Any way they can be glad it's safe for now.

Hello all

Monkey Magic - you rock you know. Love to see a new profile containing your art!! There are other avenues for art stuff. Trying to think of the name. Will let you know.

Kanga - LOL. Sport - you gotta love it. The only thing I like watching on TV is tennis. Like to go to basketball matches (don't watch TV). But others love it. Gotta make things good for everyone. I like David Attenborough programs (have seen all his about twice), 'mild' (non emotional) crime programs, humour (Big Bang Theory, Victor of Dibley...) movies (non emotional - unless happy).

Jackson - So happy for you! Getting the surf board last night and then a good talk with your boss!! Awesome stuff. Enjoy yourself out there tomorrow, rubbing shoulders with the 'IN' crowd.

CMF - How was your day?

Flick - How about you? Interesting profile name.... Any history to it?

My volunteering went really well. So good to get out and face people. Love seeing people, smiling and making others feel good. Yeah happy.

Hey Everyone!

Hi PamelaR Congrats on your volunteer role..You are a legend...Nice1

Hi all!!

Thank you Paul. It was a good feeling. Just one slight hiccup, I delivered the books to a central coordinator of a facility. I'm going to suggest next time that I actually deliver the books to the individuals in the centre. I'm sure it will benefit them so much more.

Hiya Kanga. Sorry to hear about your banking woes. Not good. Hope everything turns out okay.

Nighty night all. Have a nice calming tea before bed! I've made one for everyone (LOL).
