Sharing music!

Hey 🙂 Just a little something for people to share their favourite tunes.

I've always been a massive music listener, and I'm normally content with the music I regularly listen to and know, but lately I've found that because I've been listening to it all so much (out of boredom), I've been wanting to find some new artists and styles to dive into. I also have ALOT of art homework to get done, so looking for things to listen to as I work. I'm up for any suggestions, but I'm super into any kind of hard rock, metal or alternative music!

A few songs I'm really enjoying right now are:

The Beautiful People - Marilyn Manson

This House - Hazen

Scream - Breakaway

Visions - Bring Me The Horizon

Another Life - Motionless In White

Feel free to share some of your favourites here, and I hope you're all doing well ❤️

There's a novel by Franz Kafka, named Die Verwandlung (The Metamorphosis). There's a song about the novel's protagonist, Gregor, which I like. It's in German, and not easy on the ears if you're not used to "Symphonic metal". It's one of my favorites, mainly due to its lyrics... Name of the song is Samsa's Traum (Samsa's dream)

Hi lemonyb

I hadn't heard Beautiful People before until I saw it covered on The Voice last year by Lee Harding (he sings Wasabi). Great singer. So I looked at Marilyns on YouTube. Great song. I now play it on my drums.

Going to YouTube the other songs you mentioned here.

Would love to hear from you of any other music suggestions.

I love music and it keeps my mental health in check.

I don't know how old you are but do you like a band called "Live". One of my fav bands. Couple of suggestions are " Simple Creed", "White Discussion" and "Lakinis Juice" and" Rattlesnakes".

Thanks

Tayla... if you get to read this ... the music I will listen to generally reflects my mood. I know many people find metal to be noise etc. but I find it to be calming for myself and would regard it as a self-care thing. The lyrics in many of the songs tell me I am not alone, thereby reducing the stress I feel. I have been listening since the 1980s. Back then it was Ozzy, Maiden etc. These days (genre wise) it is melodeath, doom, tech/death or the more extreme stuff. What do you like about metal?

Michael Jackson - Man In The Mirror
