Hi Startingnew,

Just out of any curiosity is there any reason you can't do both?

Any particular reason you don't want anything too major?

Perhaps if you don't want a major thing just tell her that an that you appreciate her making the effort for you 🙂

Good luck!

I dont have any friends to celebrate with. If i did i mightve done both but i dont.

I spoke to her just now and she said shes organised something but shes not telling me so.... i guess ill have to wait and see what saturday brings

Hi SN,

I totally understand not wanting to do anything for your bday when you haven't been feeling so great. It is thoughtful of your mum wanting to organise something so I hope, whatever it is, it's nice and not too much for you.

Best wishes

hi CMF

im trying to just run with it. she doesnt take into acount into anything just does what she wants to do. i havet got a clue whats in store, considering i dont have any friends i doubt itll be anything too big.

i apprecitate that she wants so celebrate though, im really just not up for it atm.

its on this saturday so will jsut have to wait and see i guess...

hey sn,

thats lovely that your mum does want to do something nice for you, even if its not exactly what you want at the moment.

but your 21st is an big celebration, so even if you do have a nice dinner with the family, its nice to do something 🙂 and if it is just a dinner and drinks, then hopefully its not too big and it doenst take up too much of your energy especially when youre not really up to it at the moment

I found out the plans. She told me that we are just going out for lunch with my uncle who lives a fair few hrs away as well as us.

Hi SN,

Do you feel ok with that? It sounds it will be more low key than you expected which i think is your preference?

Did you book the night at the hotel for yourself?
