It's a shame you're having laptop problems Geoff! I too had this problem early this year, with my almost 7 year old laptop, which is no longer with me. I had all my files transferred onto a new laptop I got for my birthday in Feb. I had to recycle my old laptop- there was no way to resurrect it!

Hopefully you can get yours repaired, or purchase a new one.

Good to know you got it going and are back!

Have a good weekend!

dear Yggy, thank you and I see that your post has got longer, so please give some time to read it.

At the moment I'm using safe mode so I'm not quite out of the woods, and by saying that doesn't it relates with depression, but I'm only talking about computer.

I'm good and I do hope that you also have a good week-end. L Geoff. x

Hi Geoff.  I know it's a bit late, sorry about that.  A belated many happy returns for your birthday.  I had written it down, but there's been so much happening in my life.  As I stated earlier I have a job now and I've been really busy with that.  I started working in August and I've been really busy.  I will always be grateful for the help and support you showed me when I was in such a dark place.  Things with L don't get to me anymore.  We are getting on better because I've realized I was hurting me more than he was.  I let his emotional attachment to m/d 'get' to me.  Now I don't care.  Whatever the future holds, I know I can deal with it.  Occasionally I do 'vent' this is normal, but like all bad feelings, it passes.  My job is the best thing that could've happened.  I'm still active in the church, that's my 'thing'.

Again - thanks for 'being' there.  Love Pip. xox

Hey Geoff,

Can you describe what your laptop's symptoms are? I might be able to offer some assistance if you're stuck.

dear Pipsy, well it's incredible that you remembered and thanks for your good wishes.

To remember back in July, Paul, well I now can't remember, but so many times as we all know so if you're not an IT expert it drives you crazy, that's probably why I keep my hair short.

You must know a lot about computers. Geoff.

Hey Geoff,

I know enough about IT to know to keep my hair short to stop me from tearing it out and secondly to hide the greying bits.

I know it won't help, our IT man suggests turning it off and on again...
