Hi everyone, This section of the forum is a little different to the others, as you may have noticed in looking around the threads. Elsewhere on the forums, we discuss some pretty heavy topics: mental health issues, thoughts of suicide, trauma, abuse, relationship breakdowns. Here is the place to come to get away from that and have a bit of fun. Distraction can be an important tool to draw on if you're finding yourself overwhelmed by distressing thoughts and feelings. As this is a section for respite from difficult topics, we will remove posts made in this section that attempt to discuss personal issues. Please use a support thread in the appropriate section for these discussions. Happy posting!

This is meant as a thread to share ideas on how we deal with the angst/sad feeling we sometimes get if we find ourselves at home on what is usually considered a time of the week to be out partying/enjoying oneself. I reckon if we share ideas we can build our self esteem and combat some of that crappy feeling. Something i find good is watching a film i havent seen for years. Last friday i watched Batman Begins and found a new love for comic superheroes and ended up buying Arkham Asylum on PC which ive never played before. this act on its own is not much, but it was a way to treat myself and basically tune out. What are other people's ideas?

Hi all, just thought of this old game where you look at a jar full of something, then guess how many is in the jar ..., I always liked trying to count whatever it was from all angles. I remember counting coloured Jellybeans and another one with marbles. This one is a photo of marbles in one of those 1kg flour containers. If one turns it around one would see all different sized marbles in the container. Well feel free to guess as many times as you like. The winner will be announced on Monday. I attempted to turn the photo around, but could not work it out. Anyway not to worry..... Guess away!

Hi All, For many people Easter is a 4 day long weekend. For some of us it is a very special Christian celebration and time of recognition. The stores will probably be getting ready for Christmas now! Ha. Ha. Our little town is chock o block with cars, caravans and trucks all trying to get through to the Riverland and beyond. The traffic in the main street was at standstill when I tried to get home after Church. Tonight we are having our nieces and their boyfriends here for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. Do any of you have happy memories from Easter's past? The infants at our school all made baskets and put them out in the garden. The "Easter Bunny" would hop past the windows, we all saw his ears, then we would run out and find our baskets filled with Easter eggs. Wishing you all a lovely weekend, no matter how you decide to spend it. Cheers, from Mrs. Dools

Hi guys, Totally unrelated to anything mental health related but I have nobody else to really ask. I am going to be getting a medium size tattoo done on my back coming friday but i wanted to find out if the price they were asking was way extreme or normal. I have had small tats done before but they all fit into the base tattoo price of $120 at the place i go too. This time i'm getting a roughly 5" by 5" piece put on me and they are asking $500. I figured it would cost me a bit given it involves shading and all that jazz. But the design has no colour to it and its not exactly a massive shoulder to shoulder piece so I'm a bit suprised at the piece. I wasn't really sure how to convey that to the tattooist given that for 1) i have mad anxiety 2) i don't even know what standard prices are and 3) shes putting stuff into my skin so if i make her angry she could cause me a bit of trouble. Any help or tips guys? Also let me know what tattoos you have or want to get done. I currently have a semi colon on my wrist - for the obvious symbolic meaning and also because i needed something to cover up the scar tissue a bit. The piece im getting done on friday is a rose morphing into a clock with the quote "by the time the last petal falls" circling around it. As for the ones to come in the future i have lots of ideas. But its probably not worth discussing until i have actually made the appointment to get it done like i have with the rose-clock. What do you guys have/want?

Hi everyone, I have just been thinking and being naturally curious (ahem, nosy), I'm wondering what life means to you on a personal level? Also, what makes getting out of bed worthwhile for you each day? Of course there's no right or wrong answer as it's completely subjective. If you're still figuring it out, feel free to say that you're not sure. My own answer to both questions is "I don't know" and "I don't know." Definitely still figuring it out. Happy to hear from anyone. Dottie x
