Hi everyone, This section of the forum is a little different to the others, as you may have noticed in looking around the threads. Elsewhere on the forums, we discuss some pretty heavy topics: mental health issues, thoughts of suicide, trauma, abuse, relationship breakdowns. Here is the place to come to get away from that and have a bit of fun. Distraction can be an important tool to draw on if you're finding yourself overwhelmed by distressing thoughts and feelings. As this is a section for respite from difficult topics, we will remove posts made in this section that attempt to discuss personal issues. Please use a support thread in the appropriate section for these discussions. Happy posting!

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Like to kick of a game a little like the flow of five letter word game it goes like this:- I put down DOG AND BONE, The next person puts down PHONE [which is the meaning] and then puts down word/phrase DUNNY DIVER so someone else could continue it on. Hi, I'm finding it difficult to write. After my introduction, it all seemed a tad frantic. The hardest part was trying to impress you'll with my knowledge. The depth of my knowledge could easily be exposed. I think my ego jumps out of me when I use these this forum. I mean its possible, and that's not a good thing. I need to be myself. Unfortunately that may require a lot more whinging. To be honest, I want to become as genuine as I can without. Can I do it? My head is hurting already thinking about the task. Plan B, relax, and be myself. Phew. So yeah, it is hard I find to know what to write about. I suppose just talk about my day will be enough. I don't have to write more than necessary. (See how I CBTed myself as I type haha) (Joke) Where was I? Oh yeah my day. It sucked, I have Gastro. Have had it for the last 5 days. I can see why they called it Gastro, probably named after Astroboy. You feel like Gastroboy at times. (To much info) A nurse friend of mine said I should go to hospital because I have been unable to eat. But geez Gastro can be painful. After around day 3 my stomach muscles were so soar. (Bonus is I am loosing weight) Hope are all well. IF

Hey everyone! So I struggle a lot with depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder (BPD) and find it very difficult to sometimes 'switch my mind off' from all of the negative and aggressive, depressing thoughts. One way I've found to distract myself is with video games, and I love them! Whilst they don't fix my problems, they help me escape my problems for a little while, and help me calm myself down. My favourite games are The Witcher 3, Fallout (3, New Vegas and 4) and the Assassins Creed series. What are your favourite games for distracting yourself?
