Hey! Welcome to Friends Cafe.
This is a chill and chat space for young BB members to talk about anything and everything and make new friends.
When school's getting to you, uni or work has got you down, parents, partners, friends don't understand, and especially if you're feeling alone or lonely - come and relax awhile and talk to others who know just how you feel.
Our minds can cause us trouble, but they can also be amazing things that imagine beauty, love and fun. This cafe has everything you can imagine. To start with it's, well, a cafe. So there's chairs and tables, comfy couches for flopping, a big screen tele, unlimited download on computers for games, Spotify (or an old-school jukebox if you prefer), every movie you can think of on instant demand ... whatever you want, it's here. Post and tell us what'd you'd like.
Plus, there's an infinite menu of whatever food or drinks takes your fancy. And it's all free!
To kick it off, today we have a special range of Monster Milkshakes - those thick gooey shakes topped with cronuts, chocolate bars, cake, cookies ... whatever you want. And if you can get through one of them, you're a legend (and probably feeling a little bit sick LOL!)
Welcome friends.

Hi everyone!
This week so far I've just been procrastinating on LinkedIn (I created an account for the first time this month), snacking, doing uni, and talking to my boyfriend via facebook. He now has a cold, though he is almost certain it's the cold his Dad had, and not mine! I'll go to his place for a while tonight to try and cheer him up.
This weekend is my Dad's birthday, so we're having a small group of family members over, plus my boyfriend and maybe my cousin's boyfriend.
Dottie: I go through periods where I wake up at odd times, so I can relate. I would have stayed up too! I can't believe you had to be up at 5am - that is super early. I hope uni is going well by the way, and that you are in a good headspace.
James: nice Voldemort drawing. It looks just like him, down to a tee. You should seriously consider being an illustrator if you ever decide to have a career change. It's a shame you couldn't snorkel, so you'll definitely have to do it next time!
Demi: I hope study is going well, and isn't stressing you out too much. Having extra responsibility at work whilst studying for final exams is quite major, but if anyone can do it, it's you! Luckily, it sounds as though your boss is aware of your impending school exams, so will take that into consideration. Don't worry about not being online - we understand that life can sometimes get in the way 🙂
Tara: your birthday is tomorrow! I will definitely be back here to wish you happy birthday! Hopefully you get spoiled 🙂
ahw: I hope you are able to do manageable study sessions. Good luck for your exams. Don't worry about being online if you're busy. We are here to talk when you are free and would like some time away from study 🙂
Grace - I hope you are doing well 🙂
All the best everyone,
Zeal

Hi,
James, awesome Voldie drawing btw! Love the attention to detail 😊
Well, Your Majesty, King of Stats, you'll be pleased to hear that I've been learning ANOVA.
Zeal, aw the poor guy. Yeah, you go and cheer The Boyfriend up tonight.
So many birthdays this month ha, ha. The gathering for your dad's birthday sounds great. Hope he enjoys it and your boyfriend is feeling better then.
Thanks, been a bit of a rough period but managing ha, ha.
Tara, countdown till your birthday!!!!
Ahw, hope you're holding up okay what with your studies and any other stressors. I'm super happy for the steps you have taken so far.
Demi, hopefully prepping for the HSC exams has been going okay and that you've been managing.
Grace, thinking of you 😊

Hey Zeal, thanks. It's more of a hobby and attempting to make any money out of it would take the enjoyment out! Plus there are so many other great artists out there, it'd be super competitive.
Hey Dottie, ANOVAs! Oh so fun. You end up using them forever in psych, haha. Have you just been looking at 1 way ANOVAs or started on 2 way ANOVAs as well? These look at the interaction between two independent variables & their effect on the dependent (e.g. gender and schooling may be related individually with memory, but perhaps also have effects on each other). I secretly love the actual building of statistical models because you have to think about what would actually make sense. But the maths behind the models is a pain 😞 Do you get to build your own?

Good evening everyone!
I'm in the middle of some English homework but I thought I'd take a quick break and make a post.
Dottie - Yes I'm very busy at the moment! I think I'd rather it was a bit calmer actually, I'm feeling a bit like I've suddenly been thrown in the deep end 😕 Oh well, at the end of this week things should clear up a bit. And I can relate with the waking up at abnormal times thing, being someone who frequently does so myself, I've gotten used to boring myself back to sleep 😛 And yeah, birthday tomorrow! I'm a bit worried to go to school actually, I believe my friends and sister have planned something big....they even told me not to bother bringing lunch! O_O I'll let you all know what happens....
James - WOW good old Voldy looks brilliant!! Being a terrible drawer myself I can't fathom how you could do that 😛 I hope to see some more art through your profile picture in the future!!
Zeal - Wow lots of birthdays! Aw I hope The Boyfriend recovers quickly!
Everyone else - goodnight, sleep well!
Tara xx

Hi,
James, King of Stats, you sound far too keen on stats ha, ha. But I suppose you didn't earn that title for nothing plus it will come in handy if you end up studying psych at uni 😉
Yeah, we have gone through 1-way ANOVA. We've started on 2-way ANOVA but we have only just touched on building models.
Tara, you sound a little overwhelmed. I guess, you have a very full schedule indeed! I'm glad things will calm down a bit at the end of the week- sounds like you need time to yourself.
Wow, I bet they planned something really epic for you at school. Hopefully it ends up being fun.
And well done for using The Boyfriend title for Zeal's man 😊

Happy birthday Tara!
Have a great day, and enjoy your surprises! Your friends and sister sound lovely 🙂
I'm thinking this lunch may also involve cake 😛 I'm going to guess that the cake (or other dessert) has chocolate in it - let me know if my psychic prediction is correct haha!
Best wishes,
Zeal
