Hi all, I love to read positive thoughts to inspire and brighten the day, so just thought of sharing and starting a thread. Hope you all feel good reading and sharing😊
For starters :
"Every day may not be good, but there is something good in every day"
"Tough times never last, but tough people do"
Take care...

How can you make your life sustainable—physically, emotionally, financially, intellectually, spiritually?
(have a dose of Monday-itis and Doona Day Blues today but I am still upright at my desk… only a few more hours before I can crash on the sofa, feeling exhausted today).

Realized l've been strutting about with some spring in the step and singing a lot lately to ha ha- don't worry your all safe , it's only round the house and at work.
Things are pretty crap actually but l have been trying out some natural mixes . Maybe it's those or maybe l'm just approaching the other side of some pretty heavy downs lately but either way l'll take it.

Not sure if this story fits this category, but I used to surf a lot. Was never great at it but loved escaping.
I was always quite careful, so only really surfed beach breaks or deep reefs.
Anyway, the best wave of my life was due to my anxiety/depression. I was surfing by myself, which is rare to begin with but just needed to get away and my friend wasn't available, and the waves were bigger than I'd usually get amongst. I went to a secluded point break that has a rock reef under it and a sand bowl. I'd normally stick to the sand but my head space was such that I really didn't care if I hurt myself, so I went right out the back.
I still to this day vividly remember taking off on the biggest wave I'd ever ridden, still is, and looking down to see the water was shallow enough that the rocks were visible. Makes me nervous thinking about that part still today but I proceeded to get up and run down the line and even did a couple of turns. Road it all the way into the beach and went home.
I still dream of that wave, quite literally bring it to mind when I want to relax into sleep.
Fiatlux - I completely feel your mood today and cannot wait to get home. Days like today I could easily give it all away for something much simpler.
RX - Glad to hear you are coming out the other side of it. I feel a little lighter myself today, albeit not light enough for a sing 🤣

Whatsinaname, I absolutely envy anyone who can surf.
Few decades ago, I worked with a couple of young guys who surfed before work. Absolutely dedicated to get up super early and head an hour out to the nearest surf beach and get in an hour of surfing at sun rise and be at the office by 8am to deal with business. I’m sure this was great for their full mind and body health. I am sure that they too slept well at night chasing the next big wave.

Be soft.
Do not let the world make you hard.
Do not let pain make you hate.
Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.
Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place. ~Iain Thomas

And l'd just like to add - feed your dreams starve your doubts.
ps, Great day whatsinaname an may a few more of the waves head your way through life to eh in whatever form.
Kayaking's my go to a bit slower than surfing, don't do rapids ha ha, but the waters magic still does it's thing.

Great thread, Happy.
I like to draw on positive affirmations. Some of my personal favourites are:
"I am capable and prepared"
"I doing my best, and my best is enough"
"I will handle whatever happens, like I always do!"
"I love and I am loved"
"Day by day, minute by minute"
