Hi!
My favourite animal has always been the dog.
I'd love to hear about any dogs that you have and a little bit about them, including name, breed, age (and birthdate), their favourite things to do, and how spoilt they are!
I'll start:
My dog's name is Lucy. She is a purebred beagle. She is 9 but will be 10 on December 4th (born 2008). As a beagle, her stomach is all she thinks about, so she loooooves food. She loves to go for walks, and although she is antisocial, she knows the words 'dog park' and loves spending her time sniffing all the dog smells. If you are looking for Lucy, she will either be licking the floor in the kitchen, or sleeping in her queen sized bed. She has her own rocking chair (known as 'the dog's chair'), but she often sleeps on the recliners, with her blanky.
She's my favourite thing ever - and I love her ❤️
I'm looking forward to hearing about all your doggos!

hey, this is a cool post idea. its been 8 years but i have a 2 year old border collie. he is probably a mix, you can never be sure with shelter dogs. his name is knucks and he has many faveourite things. some include going to the creek, hiking, visiting my friends farm. we dont live on a farm but we have chickens and he loves at night when he needs to herd them into the coop. he loves playing with other dogs abd he LOVESS kids. he is scared of adults and shows signs of agression if cornered, but nayone under te age of 8 he will love and play with. he loves the beach too and also the lake.

Hello Puppies,
whilst I am more of a cat person inside, I need a dog when I am outside!
our girl of the moment is Shelby.
she is a rescue that we bought at 4ish months old. Bright, and chatty, and completely rulled by her nose and tummy.
we got her in 2022, and it has taken a few years to gradually introduce short separations (ie to go out) untill about a year ago we hit the 4hrs without distruction. Yay. We still mostly take her everywhere with us in the car weather permitting.
when my husband gets home from work Shelby searches for a ‘treasure’ (something to carry in her mouth to show off) and then does the welcome dance at the gate. Once the treasure is dropped, she utters a stream of hellos. Sometimes they are HErrOH, and sometimes heRRoooooooooooo. She also says yum yum, and rah rah rah (when I am being boring imho).
Shelby has a backyard, a side yard and a front yard to patrol. She also has a vege garden, with a walled run past the ducks and the orchard (thank you Avian Flu) into her 2 paddocks. From here she can visit the neighbours 3 dogs to catch up on the latest goss, or see what the 3 ponies are up to in the horse yards. Might even find the odd bunny to pursue off the property. Probably not worth mentioning that she is fit as a fiddle, and a happy country hound.
She has lately given up her living room lounge bed, to sleep in my room in a smaller bed, and it is too cute to listen to her very vocal dreams and wonder what she is up to in slumber land.
vital statistics:
colour - tricolour - mostly black with tan ‘highlights’ (including tan eyebrows) a white chest, white muzzle, white paws and a Flag.
age - 4 and a bit years old
weight - 20kg
favourite food - all
favourite activity - sleeping covered up completely with a nice blankie
favourite clothes - her knitted wool jumper she wears as pjs
estimated worth - priceless.
