Oh a spark of joy talking about dancing lol... my youngest daughter asked me today if she could go back to dancing next year!
She was happiest when she was dancing.

She already sent a text to her sweet ex dancing teachers off her own bat .... asking if she can help with their Christmas Concert this year.

I was a tough mama last night with her, then she comes out with this today! Go figure lol.

Do you and Mrs C "trip the light fantastic together" at all??

My bf is a better "crooner" than dancer ... after seeing him dance in a Swiss Night Club, I'd like to keep it that way lol! He warned me but I made him dance with me. Oh well we live and learn.

Hey Croix......as you've brought up the topic of dancing....guess what? I have to dance at our next game!...(not just move to music which I am good at, but learn a complete routine if you know what I mean) ....what if I am the only one out of step? Quelle Horreur!!!

Bit of a change from bowling -are you moving into balet? I can see how in Swan Lake - Dance of the Small Swans such a misstep might be regarded as less than professional.

In all other endeavors give the famous Moon Glare to all others for being out of step.

Dear EM~

I'm glad your youngest wants to do it, that's great, not just the dancing itself but the wanting to, plus the ability to start the ball rolling by herself, sorting it off her own bat.

I'm afraid I'm simply not in a position to dance. I would have very much like to learn ballroom with Mrs C, however that pleasure is not on the table I'm afraid any more than my bike, which sits in the shed.

I can't say I'm a crooner either, while Mrs C says I do sing well I believe she is viewing my efforts though 'rose colored' ears.

I used to sing well as part of a choir before a celebrated conductor in the UK, before my vice broke. That training and experience lets me see things as they really are. Pity. It was a joy, I still have my sheet music from those occasions from the 1950's.

I guess you will have to make do with a crooner, just call him Frank and let him do things his way:)

I was so glad my youngest daughter had even thought of something she wanted to do also!!!
Let alone what it was, which she always loved but gave up during covid shot downs here.
Then depression hit her harder.
I'm happy she's talking about ANY plans for the future. Feeling very grateful for this time.
I know things can go back again but if she's "been here" then she can do it again.
She's showing herself how.
I'm very proud of her.

Oh my darling bf can't sing! He blatantly refuses to sing but he does a "crooning" type of dancing, holding close and rocking, just lovely.

That must've felt amazing to sing with a famous conductor. Probably highlighted more as we look back?

Kinda takes the "sting" out of saying "There's a spider in the house!" ... we say "Oh hello Frank, there you are... now out you go" lol.

Oh Croix...you do realise that our "things" aren't allowed to properly start up again..while there remains "social distancing"...we have to go elsewhere or drastically curtail our numbers...it's horrible..because of who we are..we have to show that we are abiding by these laws..we can't be casual or cheat a little bit. Our numbers are large and indoors....so we are simply marking time..in limbo...but better than nothing...and I am glad of that.

The "rule makers" have forgotten folk like us even exist....my big fear is that our particular way of life is finished....I miss it terribly although giving the little we are allowed...the best I've got..."May I have this dance, you handsome Walrus"?

Just to clarify...when I said "our numbers are large and indoors" I meant Before CoVid restrictions on social distancing...now of course we aren't allowed our big numbers especially indoors..this is why we can't properly "start up again"...whew...and its goodnight from me and it's goodnight from him! 🤣

No, you haven't misunderstood Croix....that is what we are doing....but it's still not enough to "keep our hand in"...and have "a pale echo" of what we had before.....we want to totally immerse ourselves in it...it's like breathing oxygen to us....my fear is....is this state of "keeping our hand in and doing a bit here and there under less desirable conditions" going to last forever?? If social distancing remains the law...it appears we are finished!

In the media/politician/ talk on restrictions, our particular situation is never mentioned....they've forgotten we exist....or so it seems anyway.
